It's greatly to see you upload a new video. I'll probably do this project in the near future although probably not with a Woodpecker router table. Budget constraints you know. I just wanted to say thanks for the education. I've never built cabinets before but watching your videos and using your tips I've managed to build new cabinets for our kitchen and my wife loves them. I've been working on it all year so far and am about halfway done. Being retired and living in north Georgia it gets too hot in my shop to spend much time there. Now that the weather is cooling off I'm looking forward to getting the kitchen finished. I looked at dozens of videos on KZbin to learn what I needed but I found myself coming back to your videos every time I needed to work out a problem. Keep up the good work and again, thank you for the education.

Router table and cabinet looks awesome. I have been binge watching your videos for tips. In 2 weeks I gotta rebuild a full kitchen layout for my aunt. I’ve only built cabinets for myself. So this will be interesting

Very nice build! I think the only real change I'd have made would be changing the router bit storage to individual drawers, or at least making the trays removable so there's unobstructed access at all levels. I know it's more hardware, but I think it would provide much better results. Other than that, this is a stellar build!

Great router table build. I don’t have a CNC or 3D Printer so I’ll have to drill the holes at 2 different sizes. Keep showing us your builds, they are inspiring.

Thanks for the great feedback! I do sell the router bit storage inserts if your interested. And far as the CNC goes you don’t have to have one to drill precise holes! I just got that machine in the shop so I was just pumped to use it and try it out 👍🏻

Great build and great video! I just did my router table too. For anyone else out there, you can use a straight edge and a razor blade to score the acrylic and then snap it. Table saw is faster, but its a good alternative if you want to avoid those chips shooting back at you.

Some triangle braces going down the back of cabinet might be enough to get the rigidity you want. Very fun seeing your shop. Love the lights. I wired my shop to have two light switches that control even and odd rows of lights. Works out great if I just don’t need them. I want to add a under cabinet workbench light like you have done.

Funny thing I added a triangle brace and it helped some but didn’t get rid of all the flex! And yes I love the lights makes a huge difference 👍🏻

I way over thought this. Have a similar table and the plywood on the sides was nowhere near square to the bottom. Had to use spacers etc. then the bolts for the frame got in the way. You made it look pretty easy. Mine is been a bit of a challenge.

Great build / video! Really like your concept too! Suggest making a shelf with a solid 45 degree support angle for the power feeder. This would eliminate the flex and you still wouldn’t have to drill the table top.

22:04 raise your blade higher. That way when it cuts the chips move downward rather than outward. This is why plastic cutting blades have high tooth counts and positive hooks (20° or so). But a rip blade will do just fine, nut you will want to move it slowly. Another option is to sandwich the plexiglass between two pieces of this scrap. I do this with aluminum and plastic when I want a pristine cut.

Just out of curiosity, where do you get your cabinet grade 3/4" hardwood plywood. Is there any difference in what can be bought at a big box store as opposed to a specialty shop?

Saw the Fein dust extractor in the background and I thought you were a green brand guy? LOL But seriously, I've been trying to decide between the Festool or cheaping out with the Fein. I like the hose, hose storage, and sustainer stacking ability of the Festool. Any opinion on which one?
@eastcarolinawoodworks
@eastcarolinawoodworks 10 ай бұрын
Definitely go festool! Inventables sent me their X Carve Pro CNC machine and it came with the Fein extractor so I use it for the CNC. It does a good job but I like my Festool 🤙🏼

$1500 to $1800 for a Woodpeckers Router Table? No thanks! It’s interesting, woodworkers would laugh at a woman spending $1000 on a purse, but ridiculously expensive tools have become the luxury purses of woodworking, and there are always men willing to throw down the money.
