I stayed 2 months in 2016 at Emily's cave house and rode those balloons a few times absolutely was a thrill of a lifetime! I stayed at the cave house as a base home n rented a car that way I could travel around the whole region for a couple of months was so well worth it. Btw that wasn't a crepe it's called Gözleme it's a Turkish pastry flat bread 😉 they are my favorite with a big bowl of lentil soup.😋 So happy you got the chance to visit this beautiful and enchanting area of fairy chimneys in 🇹🇷. I like you, took out my camera and video taped because there was nobody around so happy I did because to see it in real life was just a beautiful experience. One of my favorite places on earth!! Stay safe n enjoy Gabe!✌

So, so cool. You could have gone north of 30 minutes and panned more slowly and you'd still have had us all still watching to the end. I like that you did a 'Gabriel Invades' (the apartment in a cave) like Harald Baldr - it was interesting to see so glad u did it, 'up close & personal'. I also can totally relate that you totally got into the aspect of the fairy chimneys and caves going on and on and on and on ... When I've been in environments where things are like that (Mesa Verde's cliff dwellings, Yellowstone's hot springs/geysers, Iceland's waterfalls (and hot springs/geysers), Salzburg's & Vienna's & San Francisco's endlessly amazing architecture) it's just so intoxicating you never want to leave because it makes you feel so high on life. Definitely picked up that vibe from your video - like being a kid in a candy store. Congratulations - excellent destination & excellent video.

Marin, the Peninsula, East Bay. Traveling internationally a person would say they were from San Francisco. You wouldn't say I am from San Carlos, or Richmond, or Sausalito. My parents were from LA originally, moved to Canada, I was born there, we moved back to LA when I was 1, moved up north to Willits in Mendocino County, I was raised there, then moved down to the Bay Area when I was a teenager and I graduated from Berkeley High School. That's the very short version of my life from 0 to 18.

All but certain that the mural of the Last Supper was defaced for anti-Christian motives. The hostilities between Turks and Greeks have at times been amazingly bitter.

Quite frequently the murals were defaced by people of Christian faith. The paint used to depict Christ or a Saint was considered a desirable ingredient in many 'cures' for illness.

Last supper painted there because Christianity was there first before Islam... Probably Turks will think I am talking blasphemy
@TheMuslimBatman5 жыл бұрын
Turks understand their history well, if you didn’t know, the ottoman Turks actually had very high tolerance for Christians in the regions and most of them earned political positions and good wealth, more than Turks at times, I think you might a little ignorant when it comes to cultures which you refuse to believe have more decency than some of the leaders of today’s society. Turks weren’t always Islamic either, they know this, it is only people like you who are oblivious to history and it’s peoples. If Turks refuse to believe that christians were there first, then why have they not destroyed any and all evidence of Christianity in the regions of Anatolia? Think about that for a minute. Turks inhabited Anatolia about a thousand years ago yet there are still churches, altars, mosaics, paintings to go and see, I’d reconsider your statement sir. Go visit turkey some time and stop being so ignorant.

pop if you didn’t know, the Christians at the time had to pay more taxes at the time for the fact that it was compensation for not being drafted into war, as the Ottoman Empire just say, would draft 1 boy from almost every Muslim household into war, though the Christians in the Ottoman Empire were excluded from this, so another way they could help the empire that protected their lands was to pay in compensation. Now tell me would you rather be forced into war, or have your son forced into war, or pay just a bit more taxes??? Now tell me who had it better off.
