The difference here is that logic makes 0 sense because her DoT is like over 1k mod before def pen/inc damage and Sampo's is like 260% w/o any def pen and only 30% DoT vuln. Like those people were just dumb and didn't do the math they were just blabbering. In this case...it actually is 21% vuln from Gui E0 compared to 35% vuln from him. She is better with his LC than he is w/o it. That's pretty bad for it to be more efficient to pull a new 5stars LC and put it on a 4star than pulling the new 5star...this has never happened before. Bad doomposting in other cases doesn't change the #'s in this case.

@@Trickmastah211 Which is ONLY relevant in pure fiction basically. Her firekiss builds extremely quickly. Also, if you gave Gui his LC, she would literally just need to hit ONCE and you would be at 31% vuln which is almost as max ashen roast. Then she can stack it to way over his vuln, potentially up to 52%....and her DoT modifier is higher than E0 JQ for some reason. You're taking an extremely specific use case, blowing up the gap between the two characters (agian, w/ LC she just has to use skill or ultimate and it's at 31%), ignoring the fact that one will probably require 70-150 pulls, ignoring advantages she has like a higher modifier for kafka DoT procs....so much blatant copium bias. I would only recommend him if you plan to pull eidolons or his LC either at the same time or later down the road. Otherwise he is such a waste of resources.

They could release a character literally the same as Arlan but a 5star and you would say people are doomposting that say he's bad. Stop being so tribal. Sometimes people doompost and sometimes people do not. You have to look at the #'s, you can't just assume people are doomposting cause you don't want something to be true.

Anyone that was doomposting JQ by claiming that he was basically just a 5 star Guinafen but worst are the same people that said that Black Swan was only going to be 10% better than Sampo and we all know how THAT turned out. Jiaoqui is still the uncontested best support for Acheron and will be for any characters that need to utilize debuff stacking mechanics.

I had him and this is 100% true. My Acheron stuck at 10 stars AS and 10 stars PF, with Jiaoqiu its so easy, like its crazy smooth and fast to get 12 stars with both AS and PF with Jiaoqiu in an Acheron team

It's always the same with new characters. First the leakers cry, because a character doesn't seem to be better than all of the previous characters combined. Then the early access content creators have their turn with "This character is SO busted, they COMPLETELY break the game!", while testing these characters in their absolute best setup. And the final result is always a character being good with some teams/scenarios and not so good with others. I will pull for him btw. Also this team looks super fun, but I still haven't build my Xueyi for endgame content and simply have no energy left for her at the moment.

Now you don't have to pull for him, it's your account, personally i decided to skip him now for his rerun, but that doesn't mean you should just straight up downplay him. I feel like most of the doomposting is purely because of how hoyo decided to test him. they made him broken and tuned him down, so people are mad because they thought they were getting a better unit but guess what, that's what a fucking beta test is for... to test if the kit design is overtuned/undertuned, and make changes accordingly. The doomposter lot are looking at info they are not supposed to see and passing judgement based on an unreleased product. It's literally the same as the GTA6 situation, where a bunch of idiots are doomposting GTA6 because it doesn't look like a finished game, even though it's still very much in development.

I can’t give you an answer because I’m not part of the dev team But to reiterate my point, you (referring to the vast majority of the playerbase who are not beta testers) weren’t supposed to know what state they were in and whether or not they had been the recipient of buffs. Also comparing who did or didn’t get nerfed is a horrible idea

The reason jiaoqiu got the nerf is because he got the Acheron pressure treatment to explain let’s say if his kit didn’t get nerfed and it was much better than it is actually now the character that is going to be moping the enemies is Acheron on the team if an op synergy existed Acheron would be a permanent meta always on top cleaning house like she owns it which hoyo can’t obviously allow so instead certain nihility character will get the Acheron pressure treatment for example jiaoqiu or an upcoming character will get his old kit which I hope that ain’t the case

As i have said x times in some other comment sections, Jiaoqiu havent been nerfed imo, its Acheron thats been nerfed by his kit changes. He has won an overall boost when they added his dot to the basic kit.

Xueyi is follow up attacker . So Robin is her BIS . Also since Yunli like Clara slowly reduce the enemies toughness & doesn't care about breaking the enemies ( especially elites ) , Xueyi will constantly launch FUA unlike when she become Superbreak DPS . Since the enemy in PF is fairly easy to kill , the extra Karma stack will make Xueyi immediately launch Fua to enemies for the next round . Jade help too . Also of course they are all E1 5 star . Now you might have 1 problem . If you doesn't have Misha LC & relics luck , then it will be hard to balance her crit & break stat . She need both of this unlike when she with HMC & RM watchmaker set .

Again, the doomposts prove that people actually do want even more noticeable powercreep to happen. That's basically the situation with Jiaoqiu who's seemingly a normal character. When there's character like Firefly, Acheron, and later Feixiao however, they complain about the same powercreep that they desire without them realizing it. All because they want a justification for however many pulls they spend on a limited character.

I have a hard time discussing the meta openly with the community for this reason. You can’t say anything about someone’s waifu without them having a heart attack. So... At E0S0 he actually does kinda suck. He applies a 35% vuln and 15% ultimate damage bonus. That is IT. He doesn't do damage. He doesn't have other buffs. No action advances or spd boosts. Nothing. He IS actually only slightly better than Gui who only has 21% before E6 (which brings it to 28%). HERE'S THE ISSUE. His LC gives 24% vuln. And Gui can use it. Which brings her up to 45% or 52% Her DoT is also higher mod compared to E0 JQ. Show me another case where pulling someone's LC and giving it to a 4star is better than pulling the unit...this is awful. JQ unfortunately requires vertical investment, in which case he can absolutely turn into a beast (probably the best E6S5 unit in the entire game). But at E0S0.... It's not doomposting just look at the #'s, he's barely better than 4stars and his LC on a 4star is way better than him on a 4star LC. This would be like if pulling Kafka's LC and giving it to sampo made him a better DoT unit than her... No one has worse E0S0 performance than him - his eidolon scaling is so bad. At E6S5 he gets 100% vuln (from 35%), 27% all type res pen (the strongest of this type of debuff in the game), 40% inc damage for team all the time, the second highest fire DoT in the game, 15% mitt for team, faster ashen roast stacks w/ easier uptime, EHR starts at 100% so you barely need to roll any...like his scaling is obnoxious. Best unit in the entire game at max investment, terrible at E0S0. I am just plainly confused how you are implying there are any issues with Gui's uptime. I agree w/ waves in pure fiction but that's like a very specific case and again, his LC just requires a DoT so she'd put up 24+7% the second she attacks them which is almost what he does at max stacks. Outside of a bunch of squishy enemies in waves, Gui has like the same uptime he does.

I might agree in concept, but specifically for acheron users he's an obvious upgrade and BiS due to his stacking debuffs. For everyone else I can't say I disagree unless there's something else in his kit that I'm missing, The one thing would be that when bosses go to second phase they clear all debuffs, so you would need to re stack them with guinaifen whereas jaioqiu won't need to unless it resets it to 0. You may need to keep a mob alive and then ult after the boss hits second phase to stack back up to 5 instantly if this is the case, which is obviously clunky.

However, trading out a Pela for him will NOT actually be more impactful than getting another Eidolon for Acheron or getting her LC. I just think considering we don't know what units will come out in the future he is a waste of Jades if your only use case is for Acheron and you're not going to invest in his Eidolons or LC. He'll improve your team for sure...but not by enough to justify the cost of 70-150 pulls.
