The whole "she turned me straight" is harmful because it is reinforcing the idea that sexuality is a choice (which it very much is not). Making a gay person turn straight is the whole idea around conversion therapy and that idea of sexaulity being a choice is something that the LGBT community has been fighting against for decades. I don't mean to get super deep with it but its frustrating as a closed bisexual because I know that if I came out to certain people in my life, this is the argument that they might use against me. It is more than okay to believe you are a certain sexuailty and then discover you might be something else. And its more than okay to discuss it but using that phrasing is just harmful. I'm sure its nothing more than a joke to them and to a lot of people, I just feel like there were so many different ways to talk about it.

The “I don’t owe her anything” culture boils my blood so much. Yes, he was single but going after your friend’s ex *2 weeks* after they broke up is shady af. She was just WAITING for the breakup. The fact that she’s bringing it up again after they got back together shows that she wants to create some drama in that relationship. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is also weird for doing that but it doesn’t absolve her from any wrong doing.

my unpopular opinion on this is that i personally think sophia is telling the truth about the situation. i think that it would be a different story if sophia was originally the one to make this situation public, but it was actually halley. it seems like halley is very greedy for views and that would have been more motivation for her to twist some aspects to make the story more infuriating for listeners. just really strange behaviour imo. halley totally expected sophia to (rightfully) defend herself online and understood that by doing that, it’d make her (halley) seem more likeable and done wrong by. sophia and the ex were both single and they really have no one to answer to because it’s no one else’s business.

honestly, she is a bit of a pick me and messy, and she's definitely using this to gain followers but like, it's all on the guy. if there's girl code then what the hell is the code between your ex not dating who HE thinks is your friend so soon and then getting back with you? the girl doesn't owe her 1% of what her literal partner does. she took the L for taking him back tbh, HE did what he wanted to do, and she can't deal with that so she lashed out on the pick me ginger who's honestly just so obviously trying to get that bag. her sin is just being a lil annoying.

They were at best acquaintances. I don’t see what the big deal is. No one is giving Reed any crap and he agreed to go on the date with Sophia and kissed her on his own free will. Women always rip the other woman apart but their ex’s don’t have a gun to their heads either. 😂 plus putting your personal life and relationship business on the internet isn’t going to help you have a mature, trusting and loving relationship. So I had a friend at youth group that went beyond pick me. She suddenly started dating all the guys. Date for 4 weeks break up move on to the next guy. Over and over and over. Then one of the guys asked me out I said yes and she lost her shit at me because I was breaking girl code. That when I realised she had dated all these guys to cut me off frthrough the girl code.
