Every time I hear someone say: "But think about continuing your bloodline!" I would love to ask them what's so great about it? Do we have some superpowers that I don't know of but need to preserve for the future generation? Am I royalty? Do I have some genetic thing that will change humanity somehow? Like, is there even a good reason for me to help the overpopulation to become even greater just because I need to think about my bloodline? No. The simple answer is no and there is no "lucky girl" for him mate, because having him as a partner is a punishment enough, imagine having copies of him - and five of them, at that. Poor girl, better off being celibate.
@Karras3536 ай бұрын
I agree. Its an idea that has been pervasive in society for a long time and it can be difficult for people to free themselves from such an entrenched way of thinking. But the population is still growing no matter what we as individuals do. We are not even remotely in a position where we need to all chip in to keep from going extinct. Nor are we trying to replace the casualties of a major war, plague or whatever. Even if we do choose to have children of our own, they in turn should not feel pressured to have their own. The whole bloodlines mentality does also tend to skew towards placing undue importance on the male line. "Have a son so he can carry on the family name". Why does it matter? And casually saying he wants 5-6 kids does seem like a bit of a red flag. It does suggest to me that he either has not considered or does not care how demanding that would be. For the mother especially but for him as well if he wants to even try and be a good father to them.
@SurrealisticLEO6 ай бұрын
@@Karras353 Yeah, nah, he most definitely does not care that the woman has to carry all those children for 9 months and then has to take care of them and him for the rest of her life because, unfortunately, he looks like the type to think that woman's job is to bring forth the progeny and take care everything that has to do with a family, their household and the toxic idea that is "the perfect family", while he himself is fooling around spewing stupid shit like this on the internet for everybody to see and laugh at.

Agreed. I don't want to have kids (especially not biologic ones) because I'm chronically ill and I desperately do not want to pass that down onto someone else. Hell, I wouldn't impose this shit on my biggest enemy, let alone a child I'm supposed to love. And yes I do think my parents were selfish to have children, knowing full well that there was more than 60% chance we would inherit the illness (which, both me and my brother did). I've had multiple near death experiences due to my condition, but my trauma gets minimized by my mom's constant "it wasn't really that bad tho." ... Like yeah, maybe for her it wasn't, because she didn't need to live through indescribable pain and having no one do anything about it other than hearing the constant "suck it up" or "I've given you (light) pain meds, what more do you want form me?". The only granchildren she'll get from me are cats lol.

He went from telling jokes, to being one. Also the WW2 comment, when the allied forces liberated the people in the camps, they left behind those who wore the pink triangle.

I find it so funny with whole "why don't veterans have a month?" They do. It's November and May. It's just not as focused as pride Month cause companies can't capitalize it as pride month. Plus thanksgiving which is already just shit

To be fair in the United States we have a month. May is national military appreciation month. We also have two national holidays. One for the living and one for the fallen. As a veteran I always find it funny that right wing asshats never seem to know that. It’s almost like they use us for their arguments but don’t actually care. It always blows my mind that they also always seem to think we’re all on their side. Meanwhile my battalion commander ran as a progressive in West Virginia. Most of the people I served with were rather progressive obviously not everyone but I’d say way more people are on the left than are conservatives. Not that you’re allowed to talk about politics in the military but it’s pretty easy to tell.

When you ask U.S women why they aren't having kids, oh I dunno maybe because WE AIN"T GO NO MONEY. Eggs be 10$ and houses close to million, We can't just feed our kids beans and rice and live in a dumpster!

But he just said if your gay your gay ext ext. how does that make him homophobic? Most people don’t have a problem with gay or Trans people, the problem is when it’s literally everywhere being force fed down everyone’s throats. Like it doesn’t have to be your whole identity and personality. There are more to people then who the sleep with and find attractive. If you find this homophobic then we have bigger problems😂

Let's all agree that being homophobic is kind of gay. Like, why y'all mad for? Wish you have a partner that could love you just as much as gay people do theirs?

As you said literally a month in may for past and present people in the army but they don’t care or know about that. And they say oh but that’s not the uk.. then celebrate that at your place and with people for that month too .My nanas dad was in the army and I always remember him. Remember all the other people. They fought for our freedom, which also means of freedom of being ourselves, gay, different genders, different races. Freedom in general not the so called “freedom” they think of

you said it best. that's what we should all celebrate.
