I had 76 Chevy pickup. I put propane carburetor on top of gas carburetor. I mounted electric fuel pumps an shut-off. Put 80 propane tank behind cab. Built camper over tank. So I could have gas or propane on demand!

Wow! What kinda mileage did it get?

Propane didn't need too warm up like on gas. Didn't have too throttle the pedal like on gas to start. Propane more direct responses to throttle. Propane much cleaner, with clean exhaust pipes. I went elk hunting with friends an 2 other pickups. We drove from Portland area too central Oregon, John Day area. My 2 friends would wake up gas station owner to fill up gas tanks. But I didn't get gas, still had full tank. We would hunt all week, on way out my 2 friends fill up again. But I didn't get gas. Then 3 pickups drove back to Portland from Central Oregon. Then we all 3 got gas. (So, 3 gas stops to my 1!) No waiting for engine to warm up on propane like on gas. Drawbacks: added weight an space with propane tank. Not as good mileage on propane but not much worse! DEQ wants to test vehicle twice, once for gas an once for propane. Some station attendance think propane fill are a pain! When I wanted a new truck, one of my hunting partners bought my truck too keep it in the family!

By the way, on that elk hunt, 6 of us got 5 bulls: 1-4x4, 2-5x5s, 1-6x6, 1-7x7! I never hunted again, how could I beat this hunt!?

In the early 80’s that look its been done , but we didn’t have big 20 s rims and tires , They just started making factory 17 s so they use to just cut front coils , and rear they flip the leaf springs and blocks , unless you made it to a low rider truck they would install hydraulics either 520s or they would go with tru rays or tru spokes , that stock look with 2 tone factory look chrome bumpers , stock hubcaps , trim , etc, it would be a sin to paint your chrome bumpers ! A guy that i went to school and guy name steve litten he was into the hot rod and lowrider scene , he had to sets of rims for his truck , exact same color , he even had a 70s style camper shell on it with a blue wide stripe on camper to match paint

OCD Garage has a 75 C10 Scottsdale with new trim from LMC truck, he also left his ride height stock for maximum comfortability due to being daily driven. And the bed on that one you showed isn’t even usable because it’s too shallow.

At least he corrected himself. I've heard several fellas say "turban" (wheels) and act like that's just how it's pronounced.

It’s not a truck that will be used as a workhorse but meant to pay homage to the beauty of the original design.

I don’t think he does lol. Can’t stand a slammed truck or larger wheels. 17s looks like a truck instead of truck with car wheels lol.
