Assalam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu, I had my nikkah 4years ago, and I had no Wali.. I had my nikkah in the masjid and I had my family and friends there apart from my father who is a Pastor and he would never set his feet into the mosque, however, my dad did come to the walima. I didn't have a Wali and the sheikh just asked me if I agreed to the marriage and accept the Mahr and I said yes. But I don't remember having a Wali😳.. is my marriage valid??? Please answer my question, I would really appreciate it.

Sister I would advise you to take this matter to an Islamic court/council and pursue it further there. The Ustadh mentioned that you need the permission of the Wali, so not having a Wali means that you didn't get permission from a Wali. However you did mention the Sheikh's intercession but this is not for certain as an Islamic court/council appoints a specific Wali for you. But I say seek the verdict of a court/council as this is the only way to get an accurate and definitive answer to your question. May Allah swt make it easy for you, Ameen.
