Oxford Dictionary: Racism - prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. I appreciate this discussion and the work being done by the members. However, anyone can believe that they are superior to another person based on intrinsic physical traits and cultural traits AND choose to then treat that person as less-than because of it. The pride and aggression is possible in any of us.

I think the problem with other races when it comes to blk wanting to empower their people is they don't want to hear they are excluded. Other races do the excluding without actually saying it out loud. Saying it out loud makes it real for them. Kudos to my sister for wanting empower people that have been systematically targeted. I hope that mindset spreads so as a people we can thrive and reduce the stereotypes of our people.

I respect that black woman for standing on business in that way and only allowing black vendors. If we did that as a collective, more black Communities could thrive. But that takes a collective effort and would require black FAMILIES to be fixed first and foremost. But i definitely respect her decision for standing on business in that way

The First Lady who spoke in this video is absolutely out of her mind. If black people loved each other so much then why is a growing percentage of blacks afraid to go the grocery store, the ATM, and to the gas station. Maybe we need to start being honest about the state of the black community, so we can get back to era when we a proud race of people.

If you analyze everyone through the lens of race you will miss out on relationships that could have been a blessing. Like the time David Ramsey took on Anthony O. What a blessing! But to look at their outward appearance they were like night and day. It's wonderful they didn't shun each other over something stupid like skin color.🙂

I think the larger issue is that Vanilla people are not used to being excluded. Because the world is seen as theirs ALMOST exclusively, they can't conceive that the WELCOME mat is not available to them in all areas. THEY will allow other races to excel though, Asian, even Hispanic to a greater degree. I TOTALLY agree that there should be shared spaces for growth, but for our race/culture to experience stability, opportunity, and affluence, WE need to build our own! Sustainably, so that others know it's possible, without being a drug dealer, athlete, etc. We come from a MIGHTY people and it needs to be seen and recognized.

As a white guy (and atheist), I was pleasantly surprised by this conversation. It's so hard to discuss any of this in a public setting without a lot of heat and little light. The problem with having black-only vendors is that it feels to many whites like wanting to have your cake and eat it too. If you're right that any private group can have their own rules, then would you be okay with whites saying we're only hiring whites? Why shouldn't we just let the marketplace decide (where Nazis, say, would be the only ones to shop there)? I'm not advocating for that, but isn't that where the argument leads? Isn't it better to be a black business *in charge* of white vendors, showing your competence to the world, and showing that we can all find a way to love our way out of generational hatred and discrimination?
@ursulahaygood78839 ай бұрын
Sounds good,but what you may have missed is that Vanilla people don't have to say Whites only, policy, location, entry via multiple measures says it without saying it. Understand? To add what said around 33:00-34:00 about prayer. The problem is that many Christians prayers are not coming up to God's throne, because of unrepentance and hypocrisy. If we as a people turned away from our sins, that is when our prayers would become most powerful. Why would God hear or answer prayers of people who are honoring him with their lips but are far from him in their hearts. Most Christians don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ, they have a relationship with the religion or their idea of Jesus Christ. Why do you think scripture says that God will tell many people on judgement day that He never knew them. Let us first do right by The Most High, others, and ourselves. If you need to ask for forgiveness or you need to forgive, do that first.

I can’t believe the lady said: “it’s unfortunate to not be able to come together to harm or hurt another group” 🤦🏾♂️, nothing will be said about what she is saying, but I bet some other woman, non black says the same thing! She would have consequences aka loose her job and all! This type of attitude and prejudice is celebrated in a larger part of the community, but it’s blocked because it’s a big part in the narrative! 🤙🏾💯

The fact she said "i wish we could" in correlation to a mass group subjecting others proves she is against others. If you hate racism stop perpetuating it. When presented with an opportunity to promote racism "for the uplifting of your community" dont do it. It doesnt work that way. This is a voluntary segregation and its crazy watching so many ppl fall for it.

We don't know how God's laws work. We want equality by not standing for equality. We want to right the wrongs of history by repeating them and THEN calling that God's blessings. How simple can we be? It's no wonder we never rise. You never strive for the future by holding to the past. That is a curse laid out in the very Bible we study. Lot's wife was guilty of the very same thing these guests are talking about, but they are too blind to see it. All they see is their skin color, which has become their God. We have to leave the past behind. We hold it in memory of the horrible nature of humanity and guard our hearts from becoming the very same monsters because that's what Satan will try to turn us into. The Bible says, "My people perish because of lack of knowledge," and here we're exemplifying this very trait. We don't know how to walk in darkness because we've lost sight of the light. This is why we've wandered in this dry place. It's sad, but history must repeat itself, and the blind must be led.
