Absolutely true! It IS addictive, it IS fun and it also can be life saving! Had I not had my camera to observe that my hedgehog Ignazt was just not going into hibernation when the temps / lack of food and long nights were telling him to, that he was losing too much weight too fast, he may have died. This allowed me to observe and take him to our local hedgehog specialist to take care of his needs. Thank you Mike!

You are welcome, Michele, I am glad you enjoyed the video, and that your camera helped you to spot the danger that Ignatz was facing, and you could save him.

I’m loving the footage that my camera is capturing, so many neighbourhood cats, foxes and of course my visiting hedgehog! I have also been recording my sightings on the Hedgehog Street App. Thank you for your fantastic, informative videos Mike, please keep them coming 👍🏼

Now I want a wildlife camera 😄 The footage of the little hoglets was so cute. And I was surprised foxes can jump fences?? I'm sure many people don't know that and think their pet is safe behind that fence

It's been amazing to be able to discover and explore the world in the garden that only comes out after dark - and make discoveries like this.

Can highly recommend using ring stick up cameras, the motion alerts are great for knowing when hedgehogs are in the garden & even more important if your watching the camera live & see a hog that's in clear need of help, like being riddled with ticks or having a serious injury.

This is definitely something I want to try, perhaps during the summer. I haven't ventured into the world of the security type camera, but the alerts and watching live activity is definitely something I am keen to explore

@@HedgehogsHollow can highly recommend them Mike, yes there's a subscription but it's only £2.50 per camera or £8 a month which covers 4 or more cameras or you can just use them for live viewing which doesn't need a subscription at all. Before using them I had a trail camera but since buying a few of those ring stick up cameras (not sure why they're called that as you can just stand them up!) I've been able to rescue two hogs in the garden with serious issues as the motion alerts let me knew there was hedgehogs in the garden, a quick check on the live view to make sure it's the one I've been waiting to rescue & I'm out there picking him/her up. I've got one inside the feeding station so get great footage of them munching away on their food & the other two I have placed on top of bricks & used gorilla tape to keep them attached, that way I can move the cameras around easily to cover different parts of the garden but usually I use them to watch both hog houses.
