The most important piece to the puzzle

Why do we make stuff? Why do we make things? Why create art?
It’s one of those things, most of us don’t really even think about. Most of us don’t really need…until we desperately do.
I had no plan writing this video. I had just come back from spending a week offline, and I wanted to create something. I was sitting in front of a blank page, thinking to myself it’s probably wise I start to write more videos, instead of completely going of the top of my head when pressing record. I sat there for 30 minutes. Nothing. Blank page. That’s what I struggle mostly with when it comes to writing. It’s a part of the process I never taught myself. And never really enjoyed. But sat there, in quiet. No distractions, just me and the blank page. And waiting for a thought to arise.
Every few years, there are ideas that knock on my door, waiting for my attention. One of them, that keeps knocking is this one. I’ll keep finding ways to talk about it, as I consider it to be volatile to our lives. To processing everything that’s happening, everything we’re feeling and every now and then, to change us. Hello Chris, first of all I want to thank you for this insight into your perspective on art. I feel like your style of doing videos is tender and powerful at the same time. I know sometimes life gets overwhelming, and all kinds of aspects get in our way of what we dream of or what our soul is thirsty for, but please please separate a bit of time every day, even if its like 30min, towards those dreams.
