I've visited Breda several times over the years & even bought a few CDs in Magik Store. When Electronic Family was at Dean Bosch, I'd stay at the Campanile outside Breda. Then pop into the centre to visit Albert Heijn🤣🤣

@muzikxpress6 жыл бұрын
As far as I know Tijs was already a pretty popular DJ and releasing several mix CDs and productions (hardcore, gabber, techno-ish material) before he and Cor met. There are 3 guys that have been VERY important for the career of Tijs; Arny Bink, Wilfriend Dam and Dimitri De Wit. (Record lable, management and bookings). Cor "only" did co-write/produce a few tracks with Tijs, most of the productions have been done by some other guys. Cor is still DJ-ing btw, mostly techno these days :)
@miurasrpnt_v26 жыл бұрын
I would add Geert Huinink and Dennis Waakop. They contributed a lot for his trance albums.
@muzikxpress6 жыл бұрын
That's what I said ;-) "most of the productions have been done by some other guys", the three most important ones I know are Geert and his old production team Dennis and Hans-Willem.
@miurasrpnt_v26 жыл бұрын
By the way, what is your opinion about this ? About the fact that his solo album (In My Memory, Just Be, Elements of Life) are not that much "solo". For example, I've never really understood why "Brightmorning Star" is titled as Tiësto while it's clearly written it's BT who composed this track. Is there any reason behind this kind of habit ? (I don't wanna write "ghostproducing" because Tijs deserves much more respect than that).
@muzikxpress6 жыл бұрын
Since the last few years that's not much of a secret anymore is it? ;-)

Hey Twan. Once, under one of the comments, someone asked you about the possibility of doing an interview with Tiesto, and from what I remember, you wrote that there is no sense doing an interview with him for some reason. But maybe someday you could do an interview with the man who produced many hits for Tiesto. This man's name is Dennis Waakop and he lives in the Netherlands and has a studio in Rotterdam. denniswr.com/ I heard about it recently and I was little shocked that Tiesto doesn't really do music production but do a show as a DJ and uses Ghost Producers. Greetings.
@muzikxpress4 жыл бұрын
I did ask Dennis a while ago already, but unfortunately he said “no” to my request :(
@hinsen4 жыл бұрын
Too bad. It seems he wants to stay behind the scenes forever. Or maybe he is bound by some legal agreements that he cannot tell about the fact that he has produced many songs for Tiesto.

@@muzikxpress might have also been around the time he left black hole because of changing creative differences to start musical freedom as well
@muzikxpress6 жыл бұрын
No, that was a few years after the shop got closed. The shop closed mid 2006 and in 2007 he did the "Elements Of Life" album and tour. Then ISOS6 in the same year, plus in 2008 he did ISOS7 on the Black Hole label. I think he left in 2009, since at the end of that year he released the "Kaleidoscope" album on Musical Freedom, which changed his musical direction as well.

TIESTO is just a business man great to make money, he merit credits only 06/2002 to 10/2002 where he was probably the best DJ ever but just only 4 months in all entire career as a music selector … for the rest of his life he is a story of shame especially crediting other people productions to himself… collaborating is fine but using ghost is SHAME as you CHEAT in the worst possible way, Music is spiritual and touch humans profoundly so we need to give credit to those who really make this music and Dennis Waakop Reijers is the man who made all “Tiesto” tracks
