I was born prematurely at 7 months in the early 1970s as a twin...was in an incubator for 6 weeks! Also, I was raised in the inner city and went to subpar public schools. I ended up graduating from Rutgers on the Dean's list; then went onto Seton Hall Law and graduated with 3.2 GPA. Subsequently, I passed both the NY and NJ bars (taken days apart) on the first try! The point I'm making is that, by all physical and environmental accounts, I should have been physically and mentally defective--but the Most High God saw different and supernaturally intervened in my life!🙏🏾🙇🏾‍♀️👼🏾

I dont even force this but I crave Vegetables and Water 95% of the day, I also love apples ( I usually dont do that) and unhealthy food doesn‘t taste the same to me as before. As an African living in the US this video has been eye opening. This man spent $250 on a book and so much money to get educated about the same things my indigenous aunties, uncles, cousins, grandparents and my village passed down to me as our culture, traditions and heritage. Its always funny when I hear in some Americans will refer to our indigenous ways of living as primitive while you have to spend a life time studying and buying all these expensive books just to come to the same conclusions and affirm our indigenous living ways. I feel so privileged to have a community that can pass down such wisdom to me, now I realize not everyone is as lucky as we are and its important to preserve those traditions.

I had 3 miscarriages in my mid to late 20's during the 1st trimesters. I was taking Folic Acid Supplements for al 3 pregnancies and al 3 embryos were tested afterwards for genetic abnormalities. Al 3 had some sort of chromosome abnormality. My gynea tested me for MTHFR mutation and I have the C1298C homozygous mutation. Immediately started taking Folate/active folate suplements instead of folic acid supplements and today I have a healthy 2 year old daughter and another healthy daughter on the way. Providing your body with the correct nutrients and vitamins definitely plays a big role in the health and development of you baby❤

I had one miscarriage in 2015 and 2 miscarriages this past year for a total of 3 miscarriages. I lost them between 7 and 9 weeks along. Our loss in August 2023 and December 2023 we tested for chromosomal abnormalities and both had abnormalities. Baby girl that went to Heaven in August had Turner’s syndrome and trisomy 5. Baby girl that went to Heaven in December had trisomy 22. I’m pregnant again right now. The prenatal I take (full well wellness) has the active folate but I’m taking an iron supplement (blood builder) that has folic acid. I’m so thankful I ran across your comment and will stop that iron supplement until I’m not pregnant anymore. 4 weeks 1 day along, so I believe there is time to fix this before this baby develops a genetic abnormality!

This isn’t to shame you, your parents, grandparents etc. OBVIOUSLY you should also be eating healthy before your pregnancy. The point is to explain how nutrients impact growth. This seems like common sense to be honest but it clearly needs said. This isn’t to attack, but to EDUCATE and encourage

My boyfriend introduced me to a healthy diet (and hatha yoga) at age 25. His siblings are naturopathic doctors and taught him about natural health. He never judged my cooking, just had a sort of 'learn by example' attitude. Every time I was at his house, it was like being on a retreat. The food was just so yummy and my body felt great! Slowly, I started buying more organic groceries and learned how to cook properly. It's amazing what a difference a nutritious diet makes to your life! I've never felt more in control of my own body and energetic than now (age 27). We're getting married next year, and I can't wait to raise kids with him living the health lifestyle he introduced me to. 🥰

I’m 33. I started eating healthy from day dot. My mum didn’t allow us to eat processed food very often. I was the only kid at school that didn’t get cake or muesli bars or packaged yummy things in their lunchbox. I was always very jealous of what other kids had. The only treats/junk we got was an ice cream or chocolate once a week on a Friday after school. I’m 175cm tall and have been around 63kg (give or take a kg or two) since I stopped growing at 14 - and quickly returned to pre-pregnancy weight after I had both of my kids. I’ve never been overweight, in fact, I’ve always been quite lean and athletic, I don’t have any chronic health conditions and don’t take any medication. My siblings are the same. I’ve also got all 32 teeth and only ever 1 filling. I’m very grateful for my parents teaching me how to eat properly as I never had to unlearn bad habits. Now I’m teaching my kids how to eat properly and look after their bodies. My kids love fresh fruit and veggies. I never had a problem with picky eating as I gave them all the fruit and veg when they started eating as babies. Healthy eating starts in childhood. As a parent, I believe it’s one of the most important things you can teach your children. Love your videos Dr.Berg!

@@hwnboy925 I’m sure it mentions something to do with iodine and intelligence although that could just be me. It does very thoroughly elaborate on the importance of mineral-rich soil & the importance of eating animals which have had a nutrient-dense diet, green-grass instead of colourless hay, etc. It talks about the importance of regenerative agriculture but only from a level of understanding we had reached in the 1930s when the book was first published. I only purchased the £10 version initially however the extended versions ranging between £25-£35 with an extra 200+ pages are on my to-buy list as I realised I wanted to re-read the first one sometime in the future, however an extended version would add immensely to the already-priceless value of the initial works so that’s what I’ll be buying in the near future :)

Modern medicine definitely has many merits, and we shouldn't go to extremes. We should be considered practitioners of pharmaceuticals. So many family members ask me about dietary advice and are surprised when I tell them I don't know. The other problem is that people are willing to think everything in modern medicine is evil and on the other hand anything 'natural' is true.

You can’t imagine how incredibly difficult correct eating is, when debilitated with severe morning sickness. I used to say ‘any food kept down is a good start, and if it is healthy, it’s a bonus’. Said by one who typically eats very healthy food. Absolutely nothing helped the morning sickness, and especially nutrient-dense food was difficult to both prepare and keep down.

I only knew about "organic" and non gmo. Nothing about vitamins, toxins etc. I found out about my issue with gluten in college when I actually had it to eat and slowly from there my knowledge has grown. Hello Dr. Berg! I am very familiar with the information you presented. I'm 36 and just had my second child in 4 years. I started eating healthy in my early 20s but discovered my journey to REAL health at 28. I was sure to eat healthy, take supplements and do several detox and cleanses before both pregnancies. During both pregnancies, I was very conscious to eat and supplement healthy fats, I took 100mg a day of Europharma Tri-iodine, Progurt Deep Sea Salt Caps, Progurt Probiotics, Ion Biome Gut Health, 1000mg of methylfolate, and Emerald Labs Prenatal vitamin, magnesium glycinate, etc etc etc. My 4 year old eats very healthy and my infant is breastfed. Both have nice wide palates for their teeth and no malformations. This information you are sharing is so so so vital for all women and men to start before pregnancy! Thank you Dr Berg! Fortunately before I was trying to get pregnant I did an entire nutritional analysis to know what my body needed or was deficient in & for about 6 months I worked hard to handle & ready my body & PREPARE for the nutrient drain of having a GROWING LIVING BEING inside you & we got pregnant almost immediately & it was a very smooth & joyous pregnancy because of this. NO morning sickness & felt lots of energy. I did end up having to have a C section which unfortunately required some drugs & medications which I know CREATED nutrient DEFICIENCIES & HORMONE IMBALANCE which is what they call & LABEL POST PARTUM DEPRESSION. I think women need to REALLY understand that POST PARTUM DEPRESSION etc. is really a HUGE HORMONE DROP or shift & NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES & can be HELPED by getting the proper & adequate VITAMINS & MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS NOT just through their food but EXTRA SUPPLEMENTATION. There really aren't a whole lot of cases where people overdosed on VITAMINS or MINERALS. It was the ONE thing that SAVED me & got me THROUGH it NOT the DRUGS or MEDICATIONS. The anti depressants can often make it WORSE because it artificially CREATES MORE NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES. 💙

Excellent video doc I wish that more pregnant women would take this infomation more seriously because health problems in children have risen dramatically in recent years, its absolutely foolish and selfish for people to continue a bad lifestyle that could cause their child's wellbeing and quality of life to be at risk. I've heard that adding Himalayan salt and sodium bicarbonate into soil can help remineralise and alkalinise the soil. You can mix it into distilled water and water the soil with that, that way you can be sure that you're not adding acidity back into the soil through bad water. I didn't start trying to eat healthy until about 17. But it took me a good few years to realize what eating healthy meant for me.

Also following Weston A Price pregnancy diet so eating a lot of Vitamin A, D, saturated fat, eggs, methyfolate, nin homogenised organic full fat milk (can't find raw) and the wheatgrass juice powder. Avoiding dopplers and ultrasound. Also rhesus negative and according to the rhd fetal test, baby is also negative so won't require anti d. Ladies, we need to research nutrition to grow in wisdom and discern what GPs and midwives tell us, ie avoid liver, get vaccines and flu jabs etc. It is so important. Midwife was actually smiling a lot yesterday after using her pinard and said she doesn't use it much. Hmm because technology has become prevalent, but dopplers and ultrasound heat up baby's cells and can have affect them in years to come. Stand up for yourself. My preg notes are covered in declined, but I'm trusting God, eating well, and still exercising with kettlebells, gardening, and rowing.

As a biochemist (mineral therapist) my priorities where on the minerals you mentioned to produce the vitamins i needed. And for folic acid, well i prefer natures version - folate! The one we evolved to uptake and utilise. So i was getting all my folate from growing pea microgreens and getting this dietarily. The blood results showed perfect levels, nice high folate and solid iron levels - nothing to worry about I Followed none of the mainstream advice on pregnancy nutrition (and like you mentioned, most doctors have a massive blind-spot for nutrition!) Focused on lots of grass fed meat and fats, heaps of microgreens and supplemented only with biochemic minerals / biochemic trace elements. Bub is kicking away strong right now, and all tests are showing perfect levels and development so far 🙂

This is wonderful info. While pregnant with my 3rd after having twins with multiple food allergies and weird intolerances, I did loads of research and found significant correlations between synthetic b vitamin levels in mother and body and gene mutations related to autism. Studies dating back to the 80s indicated that high synthetic b vitamins at birth lead to 700% increase in child being autistic. I ate no enriched foods, nor dairy, soy and corn and my 3rd (boy) is incredibly smart, functions much higher than a 3yo. In fact he is bumped to a class for 5yo’s bc he is so smart, coordinated and can intuitively figure things out. He also didn’t have the food issues my twins did. Nor the awful gerd/reflux my twins did. I wish I had known about that while pregnant with my twins. Good luck mommas.

I order organic, certified veggies which are absolutely amazing and grass fed meat which I'm not even gonna compare to this crap from supermarkets. And it's actually not that expensive when you consider not eating so much sweets and fast foods. I am really fascinated about the results after just a few months of eating healthier. Whish you all the same results and persistence in the changes you make!!

I have been studying vitamins and nutrition since 2000. My mother was diagnosed with MS that year, and it led to finding out why. I then began researching and finding that vitamin defecencys can cause an array of illnesses. I began taking nutrition and food on a whole other level. The wabbit hole is long and deep and always learning. I was 32 when I started this path.

There r no magic bullets that only diet alone will cure ..... most other infectious diseases ( smallpox, tb, polio, measles etc etc etc were helped by jabs ) . I’m 27 and this will be my first attempt at eating well as a long term commitment. I original did this when I was pregnant 3 years ago. I honestly believe this benefited my daughter a lot. I was blessed enough to be able to breastfeed her for over a year. Unfortunately, I wasn’t eating healthy in that time. So I let her down, in that respect. Thank you Doctor for sharing this information. I’m hoping not to make the same mistake the second time around. My god bless you and your family for your hard work and sharing this information in a free and easily accessible way. 🌸🌸🌸🌺 P.S I’m very interested to hear about your findings in regards to soil and it’s link to the nutritional value of food. I’ve been wondering about this for a while.

I think I've always eaten healthy salads and home cooked food, especially what my late grandmother used to cook 😊 The prob was that they were combined as well with carbs; like rice, pasta, bread and extremely sweet desserts, like any typical Middle Eastern diet, after marriage and having children I continued to cook the same food I've learned to cook from my grandmother. I've started keto only a year ago. Thanks Dr Berg for the info as always.

I am 78 years old now. I read all the books that a nutritionist from UCLA, Adele Davis wrote back in 1966 including “Let’s Have Healthy Children”, “Let’s Eat Right to Keep Fit”, and her cookbooks. She really impressed me so I began my dietary changes by drinking Pep-Up, her concoction that contained brewer’s yeast, whole raw milk, powdered milk, all-blend oil, magnesium oxide, granular lecithin, 2 raw eggs, and frozen orange juice concentrate. It took a while to get up to her 1/2 cup of brewer’s yeast but eventually I drank this every day and so did my husband. It made a definite change in our health and started us on the path to healthy eating, real food instead of junk food. I am sure it is why we are both very healthy today. You bring up many of the topics she mentioned and have the added benefit of the ability of Science today to actually know why the things she recommended work. Thank you for your work and your videos. You reinforce everything I learned from her so many years ago.

I was vegan with my first born. He was born at 37 weeks, too small for his gestational age, and went on to develop eczema, chronic diarrhea, and vomiting. He was severely ill for 2.5 years while I breastfed him on a plant-based diet. Here's the kicker, he also fully healed with a plant-based diet. I worked hard on healing his gut. We eliminated all grains, except pseudo-grains, most legumes, high sugar fruits, all processed foods, nuts, and other changes. We ate only low sugar fruits, sprouted legumes and pseudo-grains, ate some selected seeds, and lots of vegetables. We did simple remedies to heal his gut. He fully healed. This diet also happened to heal me and I went on to have a second completely healthy pregnancy and baby. All on a plant-based diet. I believe that the biggest lack in the vegan culture is that there is no talk or knowledge on how to heal the gut on a vegan diet. But it is possible to heal the gut and disease with a vegan diet. And I personally believe this healing is superior to doing it with meat. Just wanted to share an opposing success story for balance. No judgment if anyone chooses a different route. Happy for anyone who finds healing 🙌
