Fantastic video. I never tire of seeing how well & clearly AT drew fight scenes. I played and loved Budokai 1-3, but I never tried the Tenkaichi games, because literally until this past month, I was under the impression they were ALL like #1 (where you couldn't transform, and that's one of my favorite aspects. It's my biggest issue with FighterZ).

This guy really gets it. You can clearly see that this guy is not only knowledgable about Dragon Ball but he also does extensive research. But even then, he doesn't pretend he knows everything, he even admitted as much. The commentary on each game is very substantial and well-argued and it feels like these are his genuine opinions. The video also centered around a nice narrative, about how each generation went about tackling to portrray the dragon ball essence which was excellently explained and portrayed in the intro of the video. Each game inclusion feels necessary for the narrative and it doesn't feel like you weren't just including the games for the sake of including them. A lot of people when doing game evolution videos, often project stuff to make a narrative that wasn't really the intention of the developers. However, all the included games even had interviews to support the narrative of the struggle to make the perfect dragon ball. A great video and unironically one of the most convincing videos for buying sparking zero.

You are massively wrong. Raging Blast was ok but it hadn’t a better combat system than Tenkaichi 3. Tenkaichi 3 had more freedom in the gameplay. Raging Blast had the core mechanic but deep inside it was very different.

You missed Dragonball Legends from PS1 era. It was a very rudimentary 3d arena fighter with 2d sprites that probably was the first game in the series history that actually captured the Dragonball feel with entire story, huge maps, destructible enviroments, fast ping pongy back and forth combat, and explosive super attacks. It was simple but much better than the garbage that was Final Bout and Ultimate Battle 22. Legends crawled so Sparking could fly.

The only issues it has is some low resolution texture art but the characters have never animated better than those games in 3D in my opinion

My Excitement is somewhere around a 7, i want to play it, i will play it Day 1 (probably Early Access) but i doubt i will play it much. the whole Online Match stuff is just not for me in any game and it seems to be a pretty big part of it

I was upset when people were saying that GT and movie bosses were going to be DLC since... those are my two favourite things in the DB franchise: GT and Z Movies. So I wasn't hyped. But then, my dreams were answered with a movies and GT trailer being released like two twin brothers being birthed and getting expelled from the dark, decrepit and damp cave of life. Ever since then the days have been eating away at me. My birthday is on the 5th so this GODDAMN saturday, AND on top of that S0 is being released only 6 days after that... Well technically 3 days after since I'm preordering with my bday money. "Life could be a dream, if I could cum on my face from up above." Man I couldn't be happier. Past 4 years I've been struggling with quite a few mental health stuff (the main ones being schizophrenia and ocd), this comes along and punches my psychosis in the face, uppercuts my depression and annihilates my intrusive thoughts... all while making me feel EVEN better....... Can you tell I'm hyped yet? Shit man hurry up October.
