Those tiny less than quarter-screen FMV windows for character interactions were a good workaround for the limitations of the Sega CD upgrade for the Genesis in the early 1990's. There wasn't enough room/bandwidth/CPU to have high quality full screen video on one CD. Wait, when was this made?

It was fun 14 years ago to be part of the teams that were going around and finding where all the digital assets had been stolen from. The unique Necromancer Boneshield from Diablo 2 as wall ornaments was one of my first observations. Im like.. 99% certain that the character model is the very same model for Captain Nathaniel Hawk from Pirates of the Caribbean by Akella (which was released 4 years before this game) EVEN THE CHARACTER MODEL IS STOLEN! And whats even more hilarious is that briggans or whatever this characters name is, was a sea captain thrown into limbo, where as pirates of the caribbean (by akella) was solely made within like 8 months to be in line with the first movie release, which flopped so damn hard that it fell into obscurity. SO MAYBE THIS IS WHERE CAPTAIN HAWK WENT TO AFTER THE GAME FAILED!

I played the Bards tale (2004) after seeing your video and had a blast, even chose the bad ending (or good ending, depending on the perspective), possibly wont play this one as point and click adventures are not my cup of tea. I recommend the Majesty Kingdom Sim series, especially the first one for a candidate for goofy game.
@AtomicArtumas
@AtomicArtumas Жыл бұрын
While Majesty is definitely a goofy series, it's NOWHERE NEAR the level of these games. If you'd include Majesty, I'd say you should include stuff like Yakuza, too, which just doesn't feel right. Some random games I ~would~ say deserve maybe a compilation video (due to their light amount of actual content) would be a few random mobile and idle games, like NGU Idle, Soda Dungeon 1/2, the ever famous Cookie Clicker, etc. - While they're "actual games", the concepts of so many of them are so ridiculously out there it's kind of insane. Especially Cookie Clicker and Egg Inc. But, honestly, the category of "truly goofy and insane games" really doesn't have that many true entries in it. I will say though... Chip's Tips 100% deserves the honor of being considered a ridiculous, insane, goofy game. It's a "horror parody" of Blue's Clues, but I'll just put it this way: You'll never understand how ridiculous of a game it is until you watch someone play it, or play it yourself. Every single element of the game makes zero sense and it's amazing.

1:29 Intro with the "fire tunnel" was stol... "borrowed" from the Spawn movie. Also, you are really newbie if you played this game with subtitles. If you got yourself a physical copy, then it clearly states on the back of the box: "Subtitle feature for handicapped players".
