fighting mephistopheles is supposed to be the "willard" fight. at least how i saw it. meph was the demon he was doing rituals for and gave him his power so once you fight meph and unlock willard wyler, i saw it as you just beat meph/willard wyler because you then unlock willard wyler for spaceland, which if you then do the easter egg as willard wyler the canon ending is him getting trapped inthe movies himself
