I don’t know if anybody’s ever pointed this out before, but I think Neebs gaming channel has the best sound editing out of any gaming channel. I mean the way their voices trail off when they’re walking off into the distance paired with the echo makes it feel like you’re watching a feature film, especially when you wear headphones. And that’s just one of the many great things about this continent.

I worked in a pharmacy for a while and almost all prescription are in abbreviated short hand to fit more information into a small space and quickly, for instance OS is left eye, OD is right eye, OU is both eyes, SL is under the tongue, SubQ is Subcutaneous or under the skin (for injections), etc.

The fish is called Xiphactinus. The bulldog tarpon of the Cretaceous, the glutton of the inland sea, the X-Fish. They just made it more terrifying in this game. I love it. Also that thing is tameable.

as an avid ark single player for years, I really appreciate the fact that they don't rely on flyers. Flyers in ark are amazing, but I always feel like when I start a new world that the moment I have flyers, everything changes in an instant, and ultimately I have less fun. Maybe that's just me. I feel ark is best at a slow crawl...imagine moving slowly across a map all the way to the other side, bases along the way, with no flyers. FUN

I know the creator of the “mysterious” structures was already exposed via Appsro on a neebscast but I love the mystery surrounding the structures what this cube is doing. Last episode Appsro got a twinkle in his eye this episode Dora notices strange activity. I love the build up to the ultimate reveal. Great work as always Gents!!!

@@themarlboromandalorian and if you aggro big freakin animals, like brontos, you're not safe. I find the best way I find to deal with Brontos is stay on the beach and run ahead far enough to shoot. They do run for water sometimes so that could be an issue depending on if you're taming or just hunting.

Woah, a Sarco AND a Bary in one episode!? Color me impressed! :D Very happy to see Neebs and Dora making a more permanent trap like that. That's what I usually do, build traps in good taming locations, then either lure or carry potential tames into said traps. And since I leave them where they are, they are reusable, and since they are made of stone (major props for using stone and not wood XD), most creatures shouldn't be able to damage them. Watch out for Alphas, Gigas and Carchars, though. >.> They can and will destroy stone. On Appsro's end, very good job making the boat safer with stone foundations. Hopefully that will protect it better from Leedsichthys (the giant fish that attacks rafts). And speaking of fish, I see you and Simon have met the ocean's newest official resident, Xiphactinus. XD Well met. LOL

I'm excited for them to actually use the bary this time. I think all the years they've played this game, they have only ever tamed one and then underutilized it afterward. Barys, imo, are one of the best all-around dinos in the game and there is no better piranha killer.

For tranqing it doesnt matter that much BUT the best habit is pausing a little between shots. It only matters for high tor vs health dinos or low health in general dinos. I forget the math but its like a big burst when you hit depending on weapon damage. Then there is a 7 second increase (so much torq per second). I fire with a cross bow, reload, count to 3 and fire again. Helps save ammo and save things like Argys which can be a bastard to trap/find and losing something like a 130 due to foolishness sucks lol. Great job today guys, maybe place a dino door on your trap to easily get things out?

the way the tranqs work is based on what weapon and quality your using basically the more damage your weapon does the more torpor it will add to the tranq arrow, dart, tranq bolts, and the shocking tranq darts. So when you get a hit the torpor will climb up based on what your using then eventually stop so you can either choose to space out your shots or not. Hope this helps.

21:15 Shooting slow can conserve your ammo. It does not affect the amount of torpor, but it let's you use a more exact amount of shots needed. If you don't care about ammo, shoot til it's about to die or it passes out Unnecessary example: if an arrow gives 10 tp on a hit then 5 more over the next 4 seconds, while a dodo needs 50 tp to pass out, you could tame the dodo in 5 rapid fire shots or space them out and tame it in 4. You could also just rapid fire those 4 out and wait for the torpor over time to knock it out.. but that would require knowing exactly how many shots were needed. Different tranqs last for different times so take it with a grain of salt

Neebs, vanilla tranq arrows and darts apply torpor in two ways. The first is an immediate amount upfront and the second is torpor over time (3-5 second i forget exactly how long). However if you shoot another arrow before the over-time component finishes you will lose out on the torpor from the remaining time. What you want to do is shoot in a vulnerable spot (like head, but on dinos like trikes) and then wait 3-5 seconds before shooting another arrow. That would maximize the torpor you get from vanilla arrows/darts.

A wild baby bronto is easy to get if you lure the adult brontos out to sea with a few arrows to meet the megalodons. It is a pain to get it back to base though. Brontos aren't allowed on rafts so you would have to wait til it grows up to make the trip back to base on foot especially across open sea.
