I feel the same way. I never realized how "unwell" I was in body and mind until I went vegan and I started feeling so much better than I ever have. When it's something you experience every day, you think it's normal and you think that's just how you're meant to feel. We're not meant to go through life feeling that way, even though it's most people's "baseline" normal. I feel bad for meat-eaters who don't know that what they're feeling is not only not normal but it's also completely avoidable. And of course, I feel even worse for all the animals that needlessly suffer and are killed because of it. It makes me angry how we've all been so brainwashed to think that the totally unnecessary killing and eating of animals is not only necessary but also GOOD FOR US - when nothing could be farther from the truth. Going vegan was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

I have said my whole life that “I love animals”, but it wasn’t until almost 4 years ago that I actually challenged myself on that statement. That’s when I had my Light Bulb moment and realized I had been a complete hypocrite; how could I say I love animals when I was actively contributing to their abuse and suffering? I went Vegan overnight and will never go back to buying or consuming animal products. Never.

Do you guys consider pet companionship, specifically pets that require meat to be morally unjust? As animal lover, I want to be in the company of animals. But certain vegans say that I’m not vegan due to this sticking point. My diet is the same no meat eggs dairy or honey but is that just not enough?
@jpjulia43952 жыл бұрын
@UCFRPQLWCGafWdz28GqBNFCw The science so far suggests that dogs, and most cats (there are some exceptions) do very well and actually thrive on a plant based diet that is balanced and complete. I know a few dogs, including my own, that are doing very well plant based. So there is no real moral dilemma here. Hth 👍

I became vegan about four and half years ago, after watching “Cowspiracy”. Anyway, whenever there’s discussion about veganism, I get arguments from my most beloved people, family and close friends, that because of vegans, there are more almond plantations and that kills bees. Wow absolutely solid information, down to earth totally makes sense, this amazingly well put together comprehensive vegan 101 message to humans would work I believe with any demographic, any age group. Especially I love the interactive aspect. Even though the students seemed very solemn and a bit buttoned up, I did get the feeling they were completely taking it in that they were actually getting it. Because it's all truth facts and common Sense. The only trouble is the facts are the most tragic of any we can imagine. Wonderful thing is if we all work together and go vegan more and more and more by the day, we can change everything and make the tragedy nonexistent

Animals are able to suffer because they have an internal reflection about their experience and they choose which experiences they like and who they don't. Therefore they have free will and posses inherent rights. We are all bound by Natural Law which inherent in creation just like thermodynamics or gravity laws. And Natural Law states simply: do no harm. Harm is violence which is forcing our will on other sentient beings. Animals are sentient therefore we have no right to kill them or impose our will upon them in any way. Realize this and be free in your conscience!

What an incredible speech!!! One of the best, concise speeches I've ever heard for going vegan, and I've heard a lot of them in being vegan for 9 years now! When I started going vegan, there were very few notable people talking about veganism in India, one of them being Dr. Nandita Shah at SHARAN, who was amazing as well. I listened and watched all of Gary Yourofsky's content when I was first going vegan all the way until he retired in 2017, and he was my biggest hero and mentor throughout that process. I would recognize his speech structure anywhere! You did a wonderful job adapting his speeches and presenting it to an audience in India! He would be so happy and proud to see someone like you continuing his legendary work. Please keep it up, you are an amazing vegan activist!
