@issuma82233 жыл бұрын
I don't think one should choose a diet based on 'easy,' but going meat-based is the ultimate in easy. 1) When shopping, ignore the whole store except the meat rack, dairy and eggs. 2) Meal prep is just throwing something into a pan with butter for a few minutes. No recipes, no ingredients, minimal prep time. Compared to this, vegan cooking is downright time-consuming. I'm not advocating for others to eat the way I do, I'm just pointing out what easy really means.

@@Myworldmymind908 not necessarily. I have started to think that the reason why plant based whole foods works is because not only we omit the things that we had been intaking for years in excessive quantities, but we also introduced plenty of things which feed our bacteria in the intestines and technically we are just a vehicle for them and they want us to be in optimal,peak condition. So basically I think it is about the growth and flourishment of the good bacteria.

I am just getting started. One week lost 2.5 pounds. ZERO HUNGER. I never thought I could eat sweet potatoes without butter. Actually they are BETTER. I need recipes. I’m pretty much eating the same thing every day for a week because I have not expanded yet but I feel so much better. I was developing a small issue with my guts as I’m about to be 70 and already after a week, it’s feeling so much better. Brown rice right out of the instant pot with a little sea salt so much better than with butter. I have 10 more pounds to lose. Can’t wait for the new blood work in 28 days. I have to admit I did eat chicken twice during the week because I got the Wendy’s Parmesan Caesar salad and it came with chicken but it’s OK. I’m not gonna be too hard on myself like I said I’m just getting started. Thanks for the sample day. So helpful to this newbie. I’ve always been very healthy my whole life, but in the last five years, my diet started to change for the worse, and I started developing some very mild health problems, but I want to put the brakes on that and get myself better than ever.

Just got off a 4 year vegan diet where I had become miserable, gained weight (5+ an extra 5 more), lacking motivation. Yep, I read the books, listened to long seminars, took B12 and faithfully grounded my flax seeds. I could never get a balanced glucose reading. Went back to a keto diet and within days I felt better, slept better have had much more consistent readings and need only 1/2 the insulin. I became vegan for healthy reasons…me and the planet. But, it has to be noted and accepted that some bodies do better on one than on another.

I worked for many years in construction. I became vegan 3 years ago and just 6 months ago I incorporated fish 2 or 3 times a week and no other substitute.. just to make a point, I work along some of the most narrow minded stubborn co workers that only had doubt and negativity about my plant based diet. They would purposefully talk about what they were eating in front of me to put it in my face. Regardless of their ignorance I was vegan and outperformed these guys daily with some of the most demanding work. Once you prove to be successful or even better than you were with a plant based diet people start to believe in what your doing. Vegan does not make you small or weak. You just have to eat properly. Making the choice to go plant based has improved my life through and through and it has also made a lot of people around me more conscious about their diets. Even though I eat fish a few times a week now I still feel alot better and healthier and that I’m still making 90 percent good choices with my diet.

Wow! One week into WFPB nutrition. I'm sitting here eating my breakfast with oats, blueberries, cinnamon and thinking I'm doing so well. Then comes along your breakfast! I'm not sure why I didn't think of it. Thank you for helping think out of the box. I immediately added raspberries. Love the other ideas as well. Cheesy Chickpeas is definitely a keeper. Subscribed. :)

I never would have thought to do the chick pea recipe this way for lunch. I just made it and my vegan brother is standing over me telling me how good it smells 👍💕. Thank you for your healthy recipes. 🙏🏻

Great video! I love how easy these were to make! I work from home, but don’t always have a lot of time to cook my lunch. I’m also horrible at meal prepping since my tastes change daily it seems, so this helps!

I just made these cheesy chickpeas today, thank you so much! Obsessed with the recipe, so yummy! I did 1/2 cup rice, 2 cups mixed veggies, and then the chickpeas (1/2 the recipe) and drizzled with sriracha!! Will save the other half of chickpeas for dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow!

Also, thank you for making the recipes easy and realistic! Its so hard sometimes to find good (taste good and simple) recipes! I don't want to be buying 1,000 ingredients for 1 recipe and then using 1tsp of each and having no idea what to do with the rest of the ingredients! I plan to make that dinner bowl tomorrow! Thank you! Thank you!

Wow ! I have eating disorders, and I would like to "re-trained" my taste towards a whole-food diet (still vegan, of course). It's difficult, because I'll be fighting an addiction, but when I see these gorgeous plates... It does seems simpler already ! Good hack for the frozen fruits, some are not good this way, but I guess mango is worth a good try ! Thanks for the ideas !

Guys; the cheesy chickpeas are insane. Holy hell, try them ASAP. Took 3 mins like he said, and it’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever had. The aquafaba is absolutely key! It gets so thick and delicious.

Thank you so much! I am a vegan, and for the first time, I came across a beautifully presented explanation of all the fundamental reasons why I choose this lifestyle. My journey began when I witnessed my grandmother killing rabbits. As an empath, I felt like a part of me was dying. I embrace veganism for Ahimsa, opposing all forms of harm, including the suffering of animals, Mother Earth, and people facing starvation and land depletion for wealthier nations. Namaste to all.

Rip is only three years younger than my father-in-law, but he looks soooo much younger. Age is a mindset, and a good mindset will manifest a wholesome lifestyle. I could not be happier to be WFPB for four years now! 🙂🥗

I shared this video with my mom, because she recently made the decision to go almost completely plant-based. As soon as I watched, I realized there was someone out there preparing food the way she does, who could make eating healthier more accessible for her. I have known about Rip Esselstyn for a while now, but I need to see if his cookbooks follow this same kind of simplicity; if they do, you bet I will be getting them.
