I am a Celtic supporter and we have one of the most intense rivalries with the manky mob but a few years back I had the absolute pleasure of attending a Belgrade derby, I am 54yrs old and i have been to many Celtic/Rangers games but the Belgrade derby is on another level. Every derby is insane. I am from Albania and when the 2 biggest clubs of Tirana(the capital of Albania) which are Partizan(that represents the communist partizans) and Tirana(which represents the police and law force of Albania) match up it becomes a madness and the Partizan are the ones that are more brutal. Just got back from visiting San Jose, Costa Rica via Texas. Our last day we got lucky enough to get tickets to Deportivo Saprissa v. Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (EL CLASICO). For other people who don't know some important things. Sad, but it's reality, politics starts having its influence and interest in sports, especially football. It's all about money etc. This year, obviously, main people of the country are on Red Star's side. Quality of football is poor, but champion is decided already (penalties, referees...) And guess what ? Fans also. Partizan fans were at home and 4,5 hours before the derby you could hear, see, read rumors about its fans and club administration as well, that derby will be stopped by them, so police made strict raid and search on the entrance on Grobari side, took more than 300 flares and equipment. On the other hand, Delije could smuggle a "plane and cannon". Also, a lot people don't know that Grobari are separated into 2 fractions. It was good derby, also a great game (not usual in Serbia), but this is like a 60% shown of Grobari potential. Great video though. Really, this kind of passion and fanaticism you can feel in Serbia, Greece... and some individual matches in Russia, Poland. And also, this atmosphere is not only like this on football. We make "show" even on women basketball. One funny thing, according to the prejudices toward fans here, that they actually spoke better and fluent British unlike those managers and journalists. P.S. Journalist was exaggerating about recording. Yeah, real fans hate taking photos on the stand (It is not America and selfie thing), but with proper agreement and maybe blured faces, everyone would you allow to make a video for this intention, even they would be proud and honored. Once again, thank you for representing Serbia normally and realistic because we are full of sh*i and western propaganda about Serbs.
