There were several times I started to tear up during this video. Your descriptions of Komugi made me draw parallels to my wife. How her goal of making sure everyone is taken care of and happy, while not one for one with Komugi wanting to do nothing but play a game of Gungi, feels similar. I was all but crying right beside you there towards the end of the video, Nick. Don't think you'll ever see this comment, but just know that I appreciate seeing you and your emotions play out while talking about one of your favorite characters. [ADVICE] MY-PHILOSOPHY: "INNER-STRENGTH" I have found that simply "loving myself" (inner-child) is a powerful tool against most types of social-dependency/vulnerability. Example: In my mind, I visualise a picture of my younger self (family albums might help). And I 'remember' what the emotion of genuine love felt like. And then I project those emotions onto the mental visualization of my younger self. I meditate and hold that 'state of mind' for as long as I can. The result? I feel my conscious energy resignating with positivity and renewed strength. And my anxiety immediately evaporates away. At the very least, depending on my levels of anxiety, this mediation practice aids to 'evaporate' much of it. You can do the same thing with "trying to 'remember' temperatures, e.g. hot or cold. And then project that memory onto a visualised heat source (all within your minds eye). You will 'feel' the effects immediately." I hope this proved helpful.

Meruem and Mewtwo were both born into similar circumstances as a strong and arrogant creature and ended up becoming better as they met certain individuals that changed their perspective completely where they realized that strength isn't everything. It reminded me of Mewtwo's quote when it also saw the light at the end of its existential crisis tunnel: “I see now that the circumstances of one's birth is irrelevent,it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.”

📍 MY-PHILOSOPHY:"INNER-STRENGTH" I have found that simply "loving myself" (inner-child) is a powerful tool against most types of social-dependency/vulnerability. ............................. "Evil" is the antithesis to the virtue: 'humanity'. Humanity is the characteristic that defines the human spirit. Humanity is symbiosis across humans and society. 'Humanity' exceeds 'social-darwinism'. ............................. NEURO-PERSONALITY ............................. "SENSORY-FEELERS" ARE LARGELY RESPONSIBLE FOR SPREADING DISINFORMATION AND HATE TOWARDS ENTJ/INTJ (AGAINST "THINKERS" IN GENERAL)-BOTH IRL AND ON THE INTERNET; DESPITE THOSE NEURO-PERSONALITY TYPES BEING A BLESSING TO SOCIETY AND ALL OF MANKIND! THEY DESERVE BETTER! 😤 'ESFJ', 'ESFP', ISFP and 'ISFJ' are a pathogen to humanity, and 'then' Cluster-B (depending on their neuro-personality). THEIR "FEELINGS 'IS' THEIR REALITY", THEY ALSO HAVE A MALICIOUS-MIND BY DEFAULT (low 'mirror-neurons' results in "SOCIOPATHIC-FEELER"; full of pathological hate, and highly chaotic). WHAT'S MORE, DESPITE HAVING MALICIOUS INTENT THEY ARE ALL EMOTIONALLY-WEAK AND PRONE TO COVERT/VULNERABLE-NARCISSISM (ISFJ especially; they impersonate and spread hate towards genuine INFJs). ............................... Also... To intelligent readers (who do 'not’ have a ‘pathological disregard for rationality and reality'). I recommend researching 'narcissistic personality disorder' (NPD) / 'cluster-B'; and know that they are the 'root of all evil' (especially 'ESFJ/ESTJ-narcissist'; Myers-Briggs reference, look it up)! European 'ESFJ' are the worst personality type, and they are responsible for inventing 'racism' and colonization! It is in their neuro-psychology!!! They are extremely 'manipulative' and often use 'looking pretty' to distract others from the witch's mind-games / mind-r@pe, e.g. gaslighting, playing the victim/damsel in distress, creating "flying-monkeys", and 'bribing' others (with money or BJ) to attack, or at times, kill someone for her. When caught, she will use her minions as scapegoats. European ESFJ are notorious for this especially in a racist context, e.g. Emmett Till. xSFP and ISFJ (2W1) are the most complicit, narcissistic-enablers. ISFP also tend to be 'oblivious-codependents' (look up the definition). Like ESFJ, XSFP's "feelings 'is' their reality." Most are covert/vulnerable-narcissists. ISFJ often perceive things only on the surface level (even by sensor standards), are suckers for a “pretty face", and their neuro-psychology makes them the ideal narcissitic-codependent and pawn to the ESFJ (blind-loyalty, surface level perception, susceptibility to covert-narcissism). Lastly, ISFJ are notorious for impersonating other people's identities IRL and on the internet; while ESFJ-9W1 superficially appears like an ENFJ, they have different 'neurology' and psychology. Both XSFJ are superficial by nature and perceive reality at face-value/surface level. SUMMARY Evil personality: 'ESFJ' (ALL), ESTJ (Cluster-b), ISFJ-2W1 (covert-narc/enabler). ESFJ-9W1 superficially resembles ENFJ; different 'neurology' and psychology. [Secretly] Evil and narcissist-friendly gunts/flying-monkey: ISFP (ALL), ESFP (ALL), and ISFJ (2W1 enable ESFJ). ☝️ALL of them are secretly emotionally-disturbed, hence their need to create conflict as a distraction (at other people's expense, truly evil). Spread the word! Thank you. ___________ Research ref: Raudha Athif, Ghislaine Maxwell, Marilyn Monroe, Karen, ESFJ-narcissists, ESFJ-neurology, Gaslighting, Amber Heard, Fake feminism, Rising of a shield hero (Malty-'ESFJ'; XSFX spread disinformation online. ISFJ is the main culprit, i.e. ISFJ largely perceive things on the surface level, and with malicious intent ISFJ impersonate others). Please research 'Brood-parasitism’- XSFJ natural psychology. //End

Damn bro. The story of Meruem and Komogi was so well written. You take someone who had no concept of what love and acceptance was only knowing power and cruelty, and slowly develop their relationship. Something that clearly didn't make much sense. One of the Greatest logics that Meruem said was to a bunch of dancers is this. "If you see a cow, do you spare it when it begs for mercy?"
@maylabrown4584 Жыл бұрын
That isn't logical at all since cows can't talk.
@supergoji75118 ай бұрын
When has a cow ever begged for mercy? Does a cow hear out the cry of an insect he accidentally eats while eating his grass and considers the morality of the issue? Cows have no complex thoughts and if it was ever shown that they did only the repugnant of humanity would continue to feast on cows. Yet Meruem killed his mother, and fellow ants who merely for one cared about the queens well-being and for trying to wipe off the kings tail. Yet this ant has the gall to call out humans despite him killing for far less?
@Orca_mammal7 ай бұрын
@@supergoji7511I think Meruem was pointing out the hypocrisy in humans asking Meruem to spare them on moral grounds. As we always eat animals that are not as strong as us without a care, so if Meruem who's stronger than us comes around to eat us, we shouldn't complain, as that's exactly what we've been doing. 20:26 at this point where he tells her he will not wait to be healed and that if she delays he will kill her, she tells him to kill her on the kungi board. Kill her in the game. It is here that he realizes the shame and puerile nature of might makes right. That a win in a fight is not the only value of strength. It is such a profound moment in his growth that it rivals the moment where he saves her from the hawk. She pretty much shames him into following her lead and he follows because he knows she is right. That killing her would be tantamount to throwing a tantrum and tossing the board over. So he allows himself to be healed and continue the game. It’s so brilliant and one of the moments that makes this the greatest series of all the anime series.

This was upload was EVERYTHING I needed today ‼️ "Who am I? Why am I here?" The existential question of purpose is something that we all experience at one point or another. And sadly some of us never get to find an answer. An in depth character analysis that gave me a newfound respect & appreciation for Meruem. And for you Nick. While I knew majority of the information presented, you've breathed new life into my perspective, fueling my own character development that I've been undergoing the last several years. For that, I want to say thank you. This video was a love letter & a token of gratitude to Meruem's character & the passion you have radiates during the whole video. Then you do something which most people would consider a sign of weakness(society be trippin'), & most other creators wouldn't do: allowed us to experience a moment of vulnerability with you. But I'd argue it takes real strength to know you can allow yourself to be vulnerable. A kind of strength one gains thru experience. Crying is something we all experience. Doesn't matter the reason. We've all shed some tears before. And it's another thing that connects humanity as a whole. Because that's all we are at the end of the day: people. Everybody is somebody. You matter. You are WORTHY. You are ENOUGH. I LOVE EVERYONE. Be good to each other. Be good to you.💜

I’ve been a follower of your page for a while along with many other anime KZbinrs. I give a like, watch in depth explanations and go on to the next. But hearing your in depth analysis of your favorite character in your favorite show, and how this character’s insight has kept you alive from depression is something I can’t thank enough cuz you didn’t have to. I’ve dealt with it like a lot of others and thankfully I haven’t lost the battle. And hearing from you that a fictional character was pivotal in your life leads me to believe that I won’t lose the battle anytime soon. I believe I will be able to come back to this video if things get too overwhelming and will find the strength to keep moving forward

For one, I want to say you look great man; and thanks so much for all the insane amount of time and effort you put into these videos for all of us. I think it’s amazing that you feel comfortable enough as a human being and also with your audience to let us all see how much you love these stories and universes presented in these worlds and how much they impact you as a person. I just hope you know how much you impact all of US as people; because I can only speak for myself but I KNOW that they’re so many other people who feel the same way and feel the same anticipation waiting for you next post and the same joy whenever a new one happens. Watching your channels grow has been honestly insane from finding just your first channel a a few thousand subs to now and I just truly hope you know how much happiness you’ve brought to your viewers along with amazing theories and insight, and showing everyone how good and genuine of a person you are. Thanks a lot dude! Please don’t ever stop this shit lol keep up the fantastic work and don’t ever change the kind of person you are because we are severely lacking in them these days.

Love your openness in this video. Your understanding and vision on the way this character was written shows that the lessons and values embedded within anime extend far beyond entertainment, they have a much more important reach. I’ve always enjoyed your videos at face value, but I’m sure someone else out there took in your words for more than entertainment today. Mental health and self love are a genuine issues that a lot of us internalize, and you opening up a bit on that was valuable.

I cannot believe what I just watched man... You're fuckin' incredible! Something that I wish this world cared more about is the importance of art that connects to people uniquely in such a way that it can convey what sits in the depths of the human soul. You're not only a consumer of that art... You're a fuckin' translator of it. Thank you for sharing this moment, and this blessing with us all.

I’m a long time subscriber to your main channel and once I watched all the videos, I moved over to this channel. I love that I have more content to watch even though it’s anime’s I’ve never seen before. I stopped watching hunterxhunter just because I couldn’t make the time to watch it but watching your video brought me to tears not only because of the vulnerability you showed at the end but because of when you said it doesn’t matter the life you lived, you are still worthy of love. I haven’t lived a life worth being loved for yet my in laws have shown me time and time again that I am worthy of love. A new love I am still trying to understand. Thank you Nick for your content. I’m grateful you are still here. I am grateful for your high quality content and passion for anime. Thank you for your love. Much love to you Nick

I understand your feelings that final moments between meruem and komugui is what made hunter hunter my favorite anime. Meruem learned to be human with komugui because she had deep scars and those deep wounds is part of what makes us human and even though meruem didnt understand komugui's pain on a counscious level he helped her heal because he respected her for no other reason then what she is and no one ever did that before. And in doing so, by helping another person heal meruem finally became human, the love we share s human beings is sometimes the only medicine. That's why this scene hit so hard because it's real.

Thank you for this heartwarming analysis. Meruem was always one of my favorite characters in the series, but it wasn't until watching this video that I finally understood why. I now believe that the reason for the excessive exposition and slow pacing was intended so that the audience could process the beauty of his character development and reach this exact conclusion. Unfortunately, the shift was too jarring for many of us, even for other prolific creators covering the arc. Needless to say, I'm now extremely motivated to revisit it and will now watch it with an open mindset.

In the future could we get a video over Shiapouf? He was another key character for me in the arc and I have never wanted to see a character reach a worse fate then him. I hated him during that arc but was still really really drawn towards him. Great video by the way! Meruem is such a fascinating character and your breakdown of him was incredible. Keep up the great work Nick!

The way you perfectly described kumogi's symbolization and how our (vulnerability is a better word than weakness imo) is what makes us human was extremely eye opening and damn near genius. It made me think of the fact that the happiness you get from having someone you love from the bottom of your heart can surpass anyone, no matter how powerful they are physically or monetarily. We're all human at the end of the day. I will remember this

Meruem is one of the best written characters ever. He had so much depth and growth. It was extremely impactful when he died and it was tragic cause he was finally finding his humanity... I really wish he survived but continued to grow. Same with Pito. Some of the Ants survived & get to continue growing, but imagine if Gon didn't finish off Pito & she helped Meruem kill Puff for plotting behind their backs... then they continue becoming human & become important members later on. Granted, this would be extremely less impactful & probably wouldn't work with the story (unless they went with the next expedition to the dark continent cause that'd be interesting) but I just really like Pito & Mereum & I was so sad when they died... especially Pito cause she died so fast.
