White people are in the majority in the USA and Europe, they also make up a lot of the wealth in the world compared to other races. They colonised Africa, the Americas, and parts of Asia. I believe that other races have a better reason to be racist to white people than the other way around.

1: hey the flashback joke is actually kind of :/. maybe not racist but insensitive for sure. like it actually happened and vietnamese people are still suffering the economical hardships and generational trauma from it AND not just vietanmese people but anyone who fought in that war and their descendants. PTSD is not funny? i'm not gonna police anyone and say you can't make jokes, but sometimes its good to think harder about what you're actually joking about. making jokes about other people's hardships is generally just a no-go ngl homie. 2: racism isn't discrimination based on skin colour, that would be colorism. racism is a structural hierarchical historical thing. you can be prejudiced to white people, but not racist to them.
@celianunn20702 жыл бұрын
@@meki_ Umm my comment was a joke.....
@celianunn20702 жыл бұрын
@@meki_ You completely missed the point. There have been multiple actual Vietnam people that say that they have that joke too. Plus, my grandpa did fight in Vietnam, and actually, the worst part was coming home, because instead of being treated like a war hero they were expecting, they were treated like criminals. Because he was in a fight he had to be drafted in. So if the two types of people involved say its ok, then its usually ok. Like a blonde making a blonde joke, or someone special needs making a special needs joke. Second, "Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized." "White is a racialized classification of people and a skin color specifier, generally used for people of European origin, although the definition can vary depending on context, nationality, and point of view." So yes, you can be racist to white people. Also, not all white people are the same. Germans aren't the same as Irish, who aren't the same as British, who aren't the same as Russians, who aren't the same as Americans etc. etc. etc. Just say you are racist, and lets move on.

Constantly checking to see what skin tone is not offensive, checking callouts to see what's offensive about my fandoms and trying my best to avoid it, making a huge list of which ships I'm not allowed to like fanart of, analyzing petty shit done by certain artists who've been called out before and bending over backwards to avoid being next, which artists are "okay" to follow, analyzing every single subtle nonexistent connotation in my art that people could possibly make up to interpret as whateverphobic, proship, insensitive, problematic in some other way, etc. It just goes on and on. No joke I spend hours figuring out how to fix my drawings to make it so I won't possibly get called out. I spend hours thinking up potential reasons I'll get called out and coming up with reasonable sounding rebuttals to whatever claim someone might make. And time and time again I see someone as harmless as me get called out for something even pettier and it makes me reevaluate my entire internet presence. Getting hair texture wrong is something that happens, a lot of artists aren’t aware of how to draw different tightness of curls. Anne’s texture isn’t all that obvious, while characters like Gus have a much more obviously textured hair type. It’s a little weird that they decided to make Odalia so skinny, but that alongside with Gus’ alternate hairstyle are just redesigns. It’s a tad bit uncomfortable, but they are still good looking designs regardless. All it regally does is make me think “Why not just make these OC or just use the designs for other characters?” It’s just Skinny Rose Quartz again, over reacting to somebody’s personal spin on a fictional character. Sure it feels icky but some people just don’t think about it that way.

Angry about non-white characters having straight hair? Has this person (who's ironically got East Asian in her, probably ignorantly ignoring her own hair, odd to be that amnesiac about your physical self) forgotten how typical East Asians, Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, Siberians/Ainu, Arabs, and Hindu Indians typically have naturally straight hair? Yes, Anne from Amphibia, who's an East Asian herself, has curly hair, but that only sometimes appears in those from Southeast Asia or India. And now non-heterosexual females are not allowed to be either beautiful or cute? Shipping a straight couple is bad if one of the couple's kids decides to be not heterosexual? Then how are they to have their children in the first place? Taking a non-white character's ethnic features is whitewashing? Doesn't this insane Twitter acolyte know the difference between "ethnic" and "racial?" And that not everything taken away is whitewashing? And she arrogantly doesn't ever think of non-white people poking fun of her.

@queenperrytheplatypus4582 жыл бұрын
@@SupernoobCv I don't exactly know how to explain "coded" in short, but from what I know, something "coded" is.... eh for example, if there was an inhuman character from another planet or something, they can be "coded' to something that's usually human. Some characters that aren't human are "coded" to be black, or hispanic, or Asian. They have the characteristics of one and etc, the only thing they don't have is the color and the human characteristics. It would be like if you saw a frog with squinty eyes in a cartoon, that would be most likely Asian coded

@@SupernoobCv it pretty much is 😭 better definitions are like, when a character displays traits of a mental illness, or a non human character’s culture is similar to one we have, or someone’s mannerisms and how they act might be similar to a sexuality or identity. its just a bunch people heavily sympathizing with characters they like and projecting their experiences onto it. no harm done, unless they start shitting on people who don’t share the headcanon. unless its actually made canon, no reason to be a dick to people who don’t agree. an example of characters being “coded” something - several of the steven universe characters. peridot is coded as autistic, garnet coded as black, pearl coded as lesbian. none of these explicitly stated in the show, and they are aliens so the earthly stuff doesn’t apply to them, but there are enough similarities for fans to recognize it as “coding”
