ive experienced the worst pain of my life this week and it was a toothache, it was because of a rotten tooth that had holes in it, it was near the wisdom tooth, the first day of the toothache it wasnt much id thought it would go away, day two was agony, near the end of the day i began experiencing intense pain i thought it would go away, i stayed up all night, day three i was in more pain and i never cried more times in one day, i never wanted to die more ever until that moment, day four aka yesterday, was the final straw, nothing worked, gargling salt water didnt work, ive tried every tip online and not a single one worked, i tried pain killers and that didnt even work, we went to a dentist and when they looked at the tooth they told me it was infected and rotten, they began giving me anesthetics and began removing the tooth, sadily it wasnt savable, they removed it and i felt nothing, until the anesthetics ran off and experienced even more intense pain, 1 hour later the pain was gone and ive never been more happier, this story may seem fake because of the way i wrote it, im really bad at my grammar, however the pain is very real, brush and take care of your teeth because this isnt a joke.

Waking up during surgery

It'll be rarely rare to wake up during surgery because you're usually unconscious but if you were to wake up during surgery it won't hurt you would just freak out and panic you don't believe me search it up

When you are put under anesthesia, 3 effects are caused. You're paralyzed, you're unconscious, and your pain receptors are blocked. Sometimes when you wake up during surgery you don't feel pain and you can't move, and even if you do feel the pain you will be put back into anesthesia and they take measures to make sure you don't remember the experience. However in rare cases you will wake up and feel all the pain while you are paralyzed, and the surgeons don't notice. So it might not be bad.

My dad frequently suffered with gout, a few times a year. Also, oddly, coffee seemed to trigger it. His foot and ankle would balloon to the point he couldn't even put a sock on, I always remember thinking that his skin looked like it was going to split because his foot was so swollen. He never complained around me though. He was a tough man. Unfortunately, he got lung cancer and it spread to his bones towards the end. A man that never complained about gout, never cried out in pain when his foot was like a balloon, was completely overwhelmed by the pain. He could barely breathe and the pain he was in was hard to imagine. I've never seen a human being in so much agony before, and he was the toughest person I knew. It's still a haunting memory, as we were with him as he passed, and it wasn't peaceful, he suffered immensely with agony and fear, so that when he passed it was almost a relief because he was out of misery. Cancer is just evil.

Before I had my wisdom teeth removed last year, the pain was actually worse than the dry socket. it was like someone was trying to drill into my teeth without novacane Two of them had withered down to the pulp, one of those was one wrong bite away from having a shard BREAK off. From a person that suffered from severe migraines from a child that was so severe that doctors taught I had a brain tumor. to extracting a wisdom with mild anesthesia for a child, the worst I ever felt was tearing my lower back muscles and pinching the nerves in my bottom area. Could not brush my teeth, sit on the toilet or even laugh before extreme pain stepped in. This pain made me throw up at times. Then the torment for not being able to sleep more than 1hr a day for months made it even more extreme.

I agree with infographics on this, I have shattered my knee cap and even dislocated my shoulder to such an extreme measure that the er surgeon had to reconnect the limb to my body. The initial accident was painful but the shock helped me get through it where the years of physical therapy and chronic pain have been something that I dread every day of my life since the doctors put me back together, it’s only been 6 years since my motorcycle accident but the chronic pain has not improved. To everyone out there stay safe and healthy!

Great video-please create a video about the different types of migraines that a person may have. So many people nothing about having a true Hemipylegic Migraine Diagnosis. I happen to have a rare type that causes terrible episodes and I’ve already had a TIA when my son was born. I think some people see them as “just another headache” and I know for some those do exist. I’ve been waiting for, SOMEONE people will actually listen to the o give an educated breakdown. Love your show and 😃

ive broken my leg in several places and ankle, peirced my foot with a nail in a board on the ground, sprains car crashes back injuries, burned the palm of my hand on stove top and on and on. None of these things even compared to when i broke my arm ( the bone between shoulder and elbow ) as a kid, not the break itself but i sat around for a few hours kind of in shock before finally telling my mom. It was when the doctor had to set my arm into place for the cast that i felt for the first and only time in my life what true agonising excrutiating pain is.

I put my full weight stamping on a an old skirting board & didn't see the 4 inch nail that punctured my whole foot all the way through & out the top of my foot. My little girl was with me about 3yrs old standing watching. I nearly collapsed with the pain but I stopped myself from somehow from screaming in agony & rolling about because I knew how much it would of frightened my little girl. She's grown up now been to university & has been a fully qualified nurse for 3 yrs now. There's something about most fathers & their little girl that they just want to shield them from anything negative. I'm so proud of myself that day but it's no where near as proud as I am of her every single day doing the job she's doing.

It is true that pain brings people together, I remember when I got my first job, the first day the boss made us all drink together, so we could be hung over together in the morning. Not really my style, but I understood the idea, and I did feel like I was more connected to them. Great stuff, you guys are a big inspiration for me.

I've never had a hangover, not sure why though. You get them because you pee away all your body fluid and your brain shrinks. A hang over is literally just a dehydration headache. I imagine you can avoid getting a hangover by drinking (not alcohol) before bed?

Working in disability, I've seen some devastating conditions that looked like continuous debilitating pain. And imagining living in that vessel for that long and having to become cognizant in your older years of this continuous suffering would be a whole other reality.... Toothache is the worst I had. Its even worse when you know the pain isn't going away. I actually took over 7g of propranolol which slow your heart down, I went into shock. I was diffibrilated in the hospital, very close to death. Living itself is actually pain to me so chronic pains are a blessing to help me go over the edge

Dealing with a messed-up Gall Bladder for 10 years bad, the last 3 or so years was torture. I couldn't eat anything, even drinking water made it attack. The only thing that helped before I got it removed was intense heat and still it had me in the fetal position.
