I love how Falcons convinced everyone that Mirana is a good hero, it makes every Mirana lane in pub super easy.

If you land 2 or 3 arrows with mirana, especially in the early game (and in low mmr) people will panic. And this will create space for your team. Ofc, if the other team knows what they're doing , mirana will have a very hard time

Currently, Mirana is overall 52% winrate at Dreamleague Excluding Falcons, it is 48% winrate With only Falcons, it is 80% winrate

You can REALLY feel it when you play support mirana.. the hero just feels weak and low impact, no matter how well you're playing. At least it's fun to play, and you don't die much. Personally I've found the most effective item build is to rush Rod of Atos, which you can get around 12 mins. Atos into arrow is a reliable and nasty combo. Most enemy heroes won't have defensive items to counter it early on. Surprising how many kills you can get against slippery heroes like Antimage/QOP/Puck.

Why not just go for Euls? Gives you mana and movement speed to push waves if noone does, setup for arrow and a tool for teamfights (also doesn't leave opportunity for the enemy to dodge the arrow (unless puck or bkb, and even then you took them out for 2.5 sec and forced bkb).

My issue with Mirana support is, that it just feels so useless compared to most traditional supports. Kinda like pudge. Always going for these skillshots at level one, which they always miss. Otherwise just killing large camp creeps and overal being useless in lane. Only way it can be useful is in stack with other friends and voice com on and constantly communicating with others. Other big issue with Mirana is her ulti - for ganking/invading space it can be replaced by 50 gold smoke and might be even better. In teamfights it is about awareness and timing, sometimes too early, sometimes too late. And once you use it during teamfight, it is countered by 80 gold dust. Often Mirana 4/5 will use ulti to try to escape alone. If I compare it with other heroes for pubs... Jakiro - Jak always wins 1x1 vs Mirana and destroys her. Has several damage spells, has very good disable. Can take towers. Warlock - reliable big AOE stun. Reliable slow. Damage spell, that gets amplified (and heal). SS - 2 disables, one of them instant, reliable. Nuke. Able to push towers. I understand why Mirana is super good in certain lineups in teams with great communication and coordination. But otherwise the hero is just absolute garbage, the entire kit is just too bad for being support in uncoordinated game (which is every game except well oiled teams).

If you think pudge is useless, I'm guessing you play at low mmr. A good pudge player can go 6-0 in the first few mins of the game and snowball to win the game for his team. In the first few levels of the game he's one of the highest impact heroes of the game, with a pure damage hook that does a huge amount of dmg + repositioning the enemy too. Lategame his hooks and agh shard saves can win games by themself.

@@5updota The issue is, that you cant balance hero for both professional and pubs games - Bat is literally 3rd lowest winrate hero on dotabuff and is highly contested in tournaments. Mars is considered completely broken hero in professional stage, first round ban/pick and in dotabuff is bottom 10. Rubick, Pango, Lina are highly contested and picked heroes... Who are in bottom 10. Chen is literally banned every game and in pubs has 0.8% pickrate and 47% winrate. Literally half the heroes most picked/ban are deep in the hole for least played/lowest winrate in pubs.
