That story about rhett kicking link out of the truck and making him walk always inspires me to write. Like I think it would be a really, really good scene in a movie. Or a book. I genuinely hope that one day, a movie that is inspired by these two gets made and that it's focus is in the friendship but also touches on their deconstruction and stuff.

I listened to this podcast on Monday, but I just wanted to comment that this was a wonderful episode. It is rare for anyone to have such a long friendship, and one where you actually stay close all through the years. That is something worth celebrating, and something worth cherishing. It was cool to hear you go through these important moments, and, at the same time, talk about the tougher times, and how you've worked through them. Happy anniversary!

As a fellow NC kid who was born in 87, I can definitely relate to going to Danbury and swimming in Dan River several times every summer. It was about 35 minute drive for us and I have fond memories of having a blast all day in the water. Playing in the woods was a huge part of life too, literally the funnest place to be, getting older and going camping with friends, some of the best times. No matter what age nature is just awesome and I hold it in great reverence.

Swear, it feels like you can’t have friends like this nowadays. And not even bc I didn’t find a friend for life as a kid, but because it feels like people today, at least my age, are: ignorant, selfish, unintelligent, unaccountable [for their actions], egotistic… anything else? The only people, honestly maybe even just one of them, I have ever been able to remotely open up to have been exes. I am extremely reserved and quiet, but if I see you as one of my own, I let you know my universe. Still awaiting my life-long friend to talk about life for a long time with. ❤ Rhett and Link

But if he was still alive, I like to think we'd still be best buds like Rhett and Link are. These types of friendships are important for a man to survive this world. I miss him and hope Heaven is treating him well. Im a 32 year old man now and haven't had a friendship like that since high school. I miss the companionship.
