Always stay at a respectable distance from wild animals, even the cute ones. Mountain goats can easily shove you off a mountain (or gore you with their sharp horns) if they feel unhappy with you. That's their method for dealing with predators when avoidance is less of an option. Mountain goats can even kill grizzly bears sometimes, no joke. They don't like potential threats, and unfortunately they are not mind readers so they won't know if a human getting too close to their kids is trying to eat them or just treat them as a petting zoo exhibit.

The earth, nature, animals are safer when we see ourselves as a part of nature, often bested by bacteria, viruses, insects and mammals, and less important to life on this earth than every single tree and than most bugs. Several archaic polytheistic nature religions worshipping tree gods and trying to destroy as little of their surroundings as possible would be much better at fostering a protective, humble, nurturing spirit among humans regarding their treatment of nature. (Though they would be as bad for human rights as the abrahamic religions). This abrahamic mindset of superiority and servitude regarding nature contains the call to govern the world wisely, but still enslaves the plant and animal world to the in actuality very flawed, destructive, genocidal, ecocidal "leader", the human.
