some questions: 1. can this search the internet for answers to questions or is it limited to obsidian for knowledge? 2. i saw the lifetime version for $200 on the website but it also says pay as you go. what does the pay as you go mean? is it not a lifetime key then?

hey Jonathan For now it can search the knowledge of the dataset from gpt4o, which is quite vast. But we are planning to add a proper feature to search the internet. The lifetime version means you pay for the app once and you'll have it forever. Including all updates. What pay as you go means, is that you'll need to purchase credits with the openAI API for use. In the mid to long term we are hoping to release a fully local model that would be free but the technology is not there yet. Credit prices are dropping every couple months or so though!

right now it's capped by default but if you get in touch when you subscribe I could increase the limit for you so you can use it as much as needed. How many minutes per week do you think you need?

I get that it's not for everyone. There are some free tools out there too, and there's even a free version of our plugin. So you have the choice. But we believe this is the most powerful one in Obsidian at what it does, and we wouldn't be able to keep on improving the experience if we kept it free in all its versions. The plugin also depends on a number of services that add up to the running costs each month.

especially when the makers of most ai platforms have strong biasis which they feed into their work. men with strong emotions and low testost make better actors. code is math. math has no emotions and requires no acknowledgement from others.
