Buster Keaton was married to Natalie Talmadge, the sister of Norma Talmadge, who was the wife of Joe Schenk. It was a disaster. I also read that the brothers didnt get along at all, therefore one stayed in New York while the other lived in Hollywood.

Yes, that's all in the book. However, I don't recall the writers mentioning that the brothers didn't get along.

I've read the book and was disappointed. There are obvious historical errors. The book says that Joe moved Keaton to MGM after The General, but it was after Steamboat Bill, Jr. The book says that John Huston's version of The Red Badge of Courage was set in World War I when it was set in the Civil War. The book says that Shirley Temple began her film career at Fox, ignoring the shorts she made for Educational Pictures. The treatment of the anti-fascist movement in the '30s and the blacklist era of the '50s is simplistic. It makes it hard to take anything in the book at face value. The Schenck brothers deserve better.

I'm not sure about the historical errors you mentioned, but I think your criticism of not having enough about HUAC and the anti-fascist movement is fair.
