Good video but you have to redo it because you forgot to include the Spanish empire, which was one of the most powerful from the 15th century to the 18th century, remaining stable until the 19th century and continuing as one today even though its extracontinental provinces are very small. In addition, the disparagingly called Byzantines were Romans, specifically Eastern Romans.
@ScentsOfSouthJersey2 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t we just include the “Byzantine” empire in with the Romans after all it was founded by Roman’s, they called themselves Roman’s, they were Roman’s just with the capitol in Constantinople and lived along side the western half. The term Byzantines was not even used until after the empire as a whole fell in 1453

It was a kingdom from 753 BC to 509 BC Then a republic from 509 BC to 27 BC Then an empire from 27 BC to 476 AD (the later date in the west only, of course)
@amg9878 Жыл бұрын
Basically Rome story started in 753 BC and ended in 1453 with the fall of Constantinople, almost 2200 years. The First Roman Empire ( after divided into Western and Eastern ) started in 27 BC and ended in 476 AD ( with the fall of Rome and the Western Empire ) , but before that Rome was already a superpower and one of the greatest civilization in Europe and the world, just think that Julius Caesar, one of the greatest generals in history, lived before the actual date of the beginning of the Roman Empire.

The greatest empires in terms of size, cultural heritage, longevity, global influence, political impact would be the Roman, British, Spanish, Ottoman, Mongol, and Portuguese empires
@majidbineshgar71562 жыл бұрын
Ottoman empire like Mongol empire , was mostly like a vulture empire , in the sense that unlike the Persian, Roman, Greeks , Turco-Mongols were uncivilised savage hordes who lacked high cultural backgound and therefore they occupied and appropiated other civilisations . e.g. none of Ottoman cities were built by Turks , but rather all Ottoman Cities ( currently in Anatolia and Greek part of modern Turkey ) were built by the Greek, and other non-turkic indigenous inhabitants of the region.
