I remember when the images for its toy first came out and being genuinely surprised at how unique, yet faithful to the original it looked. And even though the footage that's available is blurry, it's still cool to see this Ghidorah in action in. The neck movements and the way it moves its wings is so dramatic and unnatural. It truly feels demonic!

MV ghidorah had actual arms unlike other incarnations with little to no major differences in design. Following that logic, the only truly unique designs are death ghidorah, keizer ghidorah and void ghidorah. Everything else is bland

You left out the part were just after Godzilla blasted Ghidorah with its dorsal beams, all three Eva units run towards Shin Ghidorah dodging the gravity beams and then jumped onto its legs, while in the air Asuka and Rei blocked the gravity beams with thier At field then Shinji Stabbed Shin Ghidorah in the chest

I loved the design- Ghidorah has always been one of my favorite kaiju, and doing something a little different while remaining true to the original look is good by me. I loved that Ghidorah used its gravity beams tactically, because it shows the creature's intelligence and makes it more threatening than just a powerful brute stomping around and wrecking a city. I'd like to see the full movie- seems like these things would make a nice bonus feature on a blu-ray... if people still cared about physical media.

this design is perfect, it illustrates Ghidorah as a being that comes from space, with unnatural abilities unfathomable to human science, it is the perfect counter to Godzilla, it can cause more destruction than Godzilla and can fight him toe to toe. I love to see Ghidorah portrayed as a being with great power that defies the laws of physics and has the ability to take on one of the most powerful incarnations of Godzilla yet.

Very cool video I love the nod to DBZ with the classic beam struggle between hero and villain. That said this Ghidorah didn't last very long and it only took a very brief fight with Shin Godzilla to win I would rank this King Ghidorah toward the bottom. My top would be Ghidorah from Godzilla Earth as that was a cosmic level threat, then Legendary's Ghidorah as he was a massive threat and very powerful given his abilities. Toho's I would rank next as it always took multiple kaiju to beat him but he didn't seem to have the same level of power as others.

I prefer Ghidorah actually have legs, but overall this design looks good for an arch nemesis. Him looking huge, powerful and scary, like an 'overwhelming odds' opponent is what matters most, and he has that. My real issue is the turning of Shin Godzilla into regular Godzilla, as far as story arc goes. I thought the whole point of Shin Godzilla was to portray him as a villain and potential world ending threat, but now he's protecting the planet from the alien threat. That just makes him regular Godzilla with a new look.

Still like the legendary Gidorah best this wing design makes much more sense than the large fins I know he can manipulate gravity with his electromagnetic capabilities but which can still help explain why despite being so big can fly so easy in the planets atmosphere making himself weigh less but classic dragon wings make more sense. However theres something interesting about this design I like think it might be the bit more forward feet making him a bit snake like with that sweet sky slither and the gravity based telekinesis and deflection is sweet. Thinking in personal preference if you gave this Gidorah with these powers along with the wings and powers from legendary Gidorah and the heads from Final Wars Kiser Gidorah design id be my personal favorite and perfect design for King Gidorah.

Yeah, this one makes sense. I never really understood why Ghidorah has "gravity" beams that had nothing to do with gravity. For decades I thought they should just call it lightning beams or electro beams. We need a Ghidorah that can change the gravitational properties of objects by charging them with a special kind of electromagnet that is alien in nature and does not follow our law of physics. Now that deserves to be called "gravity beams." A Ghidorah like this is more of an alien rather than just being an ancient dragon that just identifies as an alien.

The linnorm look is good, just as is the quadrapedal look. Ghidorahs tend to be pretty impressive, which goes to show how much behind-the-scenes effort goes into refreshing the classic kaiju. In the Showa days, one bad dub changed (gee do rah) into (gee DOR ah) and fans cringed. Generations and many swallowed Tide Pods later, western fans take pride in mangling the name. Unlike Hollywood, Japan actually turns out things people want. Gamera is another good example. The whole retarded kid friendly approach is why Godzilla became a God amongst Kaiju fans and Gamera was just a side note. Granted now, I feel bad the giant fire-breathing turtle never really recovered. As I do like him too. Just not as much as Godzilla. Heisei Gamera is the only good one so far. Those three movies were really good. I really hope we get another franchise like that for him in the near future. Ditch the stupid kid-friendly crap and people will gather to watch.
