Just as an additional note to all this wonderful information, there is a soft cap on power increase past intelligence stat 80. So if you lvl your int to 80, you can start moving your build around more freely, like different helms that don't nerf your stam and health.

@FelisImpurrator2 жыл бұрын
Ironic. Pebble and arc are the best spells until you get very high mind and int, when low cost efficiency, ultra powerful spells like Stars of Ruin or Cannon of Haima become economical for sheer burst power. Otherwise, the use of other spells like Great/Swift Glintstone Shard is for enhanced homing or range or travel time, usually. Then there's Carian melee stuff which is amazing damage and FP with stagger, but leaves you open. And rock sling, which is the third "best early game spell" in no specific order.

Moonveil is a must imo. Its a katana that scales with int like the meteoric ore blade, but its one of the best melee weapons in the game. It scales with int, dex, and strength, boasting a b in both int and dex. The ability is a moonslash or moon sweep, essentially a ranged version of the uchigatana. Being a katana, it applies bleed, and it deals insane poise damage as well
@muchluck79812 жыл бұрын
Moonveil is okay if you are going for more of a spellblade build. Pure mage tends to ask you to dedicate 70 to 80 intelligence so you are tight on points for both vigor and endurance.
@sentryion31062 жыл бұрын
@@muchluck7981 Just level up more and get 40 vigot 40 mind and 70 intellegence. Moonveil is very clutch in small confined place where you can't create a safe distance to cast spells. Then again hoarfrost stomp exist and that thing seems more broken than moonveil
@muchluck79812 жыл бұрын
@@sentryion3106 True. At least with moonveil you can parry it. how does one parry someone stepping their foot on the ground and creating an ice slick from that. Proper positioning gets people killed with that stomp

@@muchluck7981 my mage is currently level 156 and has 80 int, 40 vigor, 40 mind, 22 endurance. 12 strength, 10 faith, 8 arcane, and the 23 dexterity for moonveil. Ive been using moonveil as soon as I got it, as I started the samurai class, fully intending to transition to a battle mage. I use moonveil for tight spaces or for bosses who dont let me cast by closing the distance instantly (like malenia). Even if you dont take moonveil immediately its definitely a must in the late game/end build. Also, taking Marikas soreseal over radagons soreseal is pretty good if you want more int, mind, faith, and arcane.
@LeTtRrZ2 жыл бұрын
I use both the Lusat staff and the Azur staff, for fast casting and more damage. If you hold both staves and cast with the Lusat staff, it gains the speed benefits from Azur’s staff. There is a talisman that reduces the cost of spells, almost completely negating the cost increase imposed by Lusat’s staff. I also have 60 mind and 7 maxed cerulean flasks so the cost increase from Azur’s staff doesn’t tend to be a huge issue before I’ve killed all the enemies. Also, I didn’t manage to get to the dexterity speed buff cap (70 for spells), but at 50 your casts become so fast that you can kill most trash mobs before they can react, especially with Carian slicer. That spell puts out ludicrous damage for an extremely low cost. Don’t underestimate it.
@michael138493 ай бұрын
If anyone is watching this now you can actually skip the boss at 6:56 by quitting out of the game to deaggro the boss and the cerulean nerds next to it. Azure is standing by the sight of grace so just run to the grace, quit out, come back in, talk to azure.
