1993 is pretty darn modern. I have absolutely no issue with people creating modern symbols to honor ancient ideas, but I do take issue with people passing those creations off as authentically ancient. It’s dishonest and unhelpful, to put it politely.

That's true, a lot of the neopagan symbols and practices can be said to be quite modern. It's absolutely fine to draw inspiration and create new ways to honor ancient ideas. However, it's crucial to be transparent about the origins of these symbols.

You have a pic with the heading “The Elder Futhark” but it’s Anglo Saxon Futhark in the pic. 👍

For anyone to ever think the thought of reason or meaning behind creation is the term fate actually interwoven automatically. So it is not a modern word or concept. It just means meaning in a way. Meaning for life and how, who, why and all these things that follows it. So whoever invented it thought it regardless of age. And if it is but a mere human invention to control everyone with a good purpose for most of the religions that’s really up to each person. Mankind knows exactly why they are here and what the purpose is anyways. But the world is still divided between science and religion which nobody has figured out from what I know.
