Yes, the growth of technology has drastically improved such that, e.g. SD 778 a midrange chip of 2022 performs much better than flagship of 2020, as you said efficiency and battery life is need of the hour,
@davout57752 жыл бұрын
This test is not really a good example for battery efficiency. Keep in mind that Android SoC have immense peak power draw. Some can reach 10-11W. This sound bad for the battery but it actually generate so much heat that the power goes all the way down hence why we see android chips performing so much worse than A16. Yet A16 draws a lot less power but sustain it for longer thus losing slightly more % points than SD device for example.

I do not agree. I would argue that A16 is maybe just as useful. The amazinf camera performance of any iPhone since iPhone X is boosted by the amazing NPU of Apple. The AI chip is also used in the Face ID system, translation through the camera, Live text where the AI recognizes text from photos no matter handwritten or not. You can even use that feature in videos. Also something very interesting at least to me is how powerful Apple's AI is within the new customization on the lock screen. The AI can even recognize when the material in the photo is solid or transparent like a glass and make it transparent so you can actually see the part of the time that is behind the object. Extremely impressive! Also something that Google had before but Apple made it better is the ability to take a person from a photo and paste is somewhere else. There are ofc other applications and especially in 3rd party apps. That's why IMO the iPhone's AI is just as good as Google's

The A16Bionic is indeed the best option, with tripple the AI and allmost the coolest while beating the competition, that’s a monster chip
@Chwill76 Жыл бұрын
I kinda just stopped caring about chipset when I moved to iPhone lmao. Even the iPhone 5 managed to outperform my current high end Xperia I was using at the time so I kinda just gave up worrying about specs lmao

snapdragon 855+ still holds up well to this day. OnePlus 7t just flies in speed. no lags.
@sladkyhermelin3756 Жыл бұрын
because snapdragon is the best in android market, i have snapdragon 720G from 2020 and today it's still perfect, no lags, very good ram management, long battery life.

Wasn't really fair to include kirin as its a 2 year plus old chip, plus I don't think performance mode was turned on.

Yall are forgetting that the A16 bionic is the newest out of the bunch so developers didn't have time to optimize it.

Only Lightroom presets is slowing down apple, but you can find them in either 1st or second only.

The test is really only relevant across the android devices, too many other variables when trying to compare iOS (operating system, app optimisation etc)

Instead of a battery test, calibrate the screens to the same brightness and in the end based on the respective phones' battery percentage, calculate the battery capacity used. Can't compare the 25% of a phone with a 5000mAh battery with that of a 4000mAh battery.
