This reminds me of Joe I was taught to train a horse to do something new. You pursue the basics of that skill, you don't perfect it the first day. You might be tearing your hair out. When you've reached the point where your frustration is preventing progress, set it aside for the day. Finish the day with something you know and feel good doing, so you end positively. Pick up practicing that skill again the next day. Don't put it off, and don't let your frustration cause you to give up. We can do anything, but we have to be smart and kind to ourselves at the same time.

One of your better video's. There's that 80/20 rule. 80% are not good and 20% are good. Much room for improvement.

I have such a big smile after watching this video. Today, I am going to shoot my first small KZbin video. I am just over my procrastination, avoidance and insecurities regarding this skill, and so, I am just going to jump in and start doing it. But, I will not be filming by the side of a road, which is how you stared, but just at the table of my workshop.

Dude! .... your videos are ALWAYS so awesome and inspiring ..... this one “hit the spot” cause having one of those ‘lazy’ days I’ve been watching and listening for a few months now .... so a big thank you for taking your time to do this to help others like myself I launched my brand a few months ago in Vancouver and then 2 weeks later my wife asked if I’d be okay moving to Montreal (for her job) So been a hell of a few months here, but finally getting settled in Montreal and getting my brand rolling (pun intended). I think you might like it. This Hip City (THC) ✌🏼

THIS! I don’t mind helping people but it feels like they’re taking shortcuts or I’ll be blamed for something if it goes wrong. It’s not right when we spent time and struggled to find those answers. I hate sometimes that people really can’t just google it like we did lmao.

Please is there a video where you talked about how to advertise your clothing line, on social media?
@far2ez5392 жыл бұрын
My bigger problem comes a step before that. I already know I can do anything. I could make my own website. I'm a compsci guy. I'm a full-time hacker. I would give up on the stage of "Eh, there are already ENOUGH clothing brands. Why would anyone want to shop at mine?" I'd inevitably just be reselling someone else's garbage at a higher markup. What are the skills here? Better SEO? Better marketing? How am I going to compete against any companies that have paid, full-time professional SEO guys and marketing agencies? If it were my DESIGNS on shirts or my designs OF shirts or something, that'd be another story. But I can't just take a t-shirt, slap "Gray Goose" on it and sell it for a 50% profit. Or if I could, then I'm SEVERELY underestimating how much room there is in this (and probably EVERY) market.
@rosskennedy19602 жыл бұрын
far2ez if you are looking at reselling someone else's product, then you have to find a competitive advantage. Find out what otherr are doing and determine what you can do differently or better. Unless you are producing products for others such as making the tshirts for sellers on shopify, as an example, then you need to have a wholesale product that you take to retail. Ideally you want to sell your own designs so you control the product and profit. If this means having someone create your designs, then so be it, we are not all graphic designers. Go forth and prosper with this knowledge

Dropping 💯 % facts. The market does a great job of weeding out the actual talented designers from the Fugazi. The market is flooded with pro designers. 🦈 chew up the weak that don’t put in effort or actually have the talent.

Hi Rob, first of all i just wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge! I’m trying to start a T business, i can do the web site (not a problem) I’m just worried about the printing side. I have no machines, i only can count with a third party T-shirt printing company for now and I’m afraid after i get an order its gonna take too long when its done and send it to my customer. I’ve tried (here in California) Printfull but these guys take about 10 days minimum to do one T-shirt, than means that if i receive an order my customer will have his T-shirt around 15 days after…..is it that bad? It does look bad for me and idk how to make it better. Thank you in advance for your reply .
@squid.6962 жыл бұрын
you should find a local screen printing location. what im doing now is that i listed at least 6 locations ad i'll call em asking they're prices and how long will that amount will take. Some places may have a minimum amount tho. I hope this helps

@jadawood18222 жыл бұрын
@@RAZASHARP maybe it’s not how to build a website they want to know. It could be small things about what is his personal choice for making a website domain. I decided to not go with the normal for my business but that’s because I’m used to technology, others may not be and that’s okay. There’s no reason to shame someone.
