NJ has some of the most luxurious mansions. I used to work landscaping and we would do mansions in Upper Saddle river Or Franklin Lakes and those mansions leave you in awe

​@@ShaynonGramlingI remember when my friend invited me to a swimming pool... a lot of people used to joke around that Alpine was a floating heaven. When we got there, the pool was in a mansion but my family was too scared to go In because 1: the town was full of mansions and 2: we though we were going to get shot by bodyguards! XD I'm sure people in Alpine joke around where I live in Southern bergen county people live in dumpsters and eat rats!

@@aiden4393 Haha yeah Alpine can be intimidating at first. I remember my first time going to an open house there and my first time even showing a mansion for sale, I felt out of place. But you get used to it after awhile and become more confident in neighborhoods like this.

Taxes in many NJ towns are high but you'd be surprised that some of the property tax bills in Alpine aren't as high as you would think

I live in the area and pass through Alpine and Englewood Cliffs often. To be honest, some of the older homes in EC are gorgeous. A lot of them are from "old money". The ones in Alpine which is not as old of a town compared to EC are just ostentatious. Big and gaudy for the sake of being big and gaudy. The one with Alpine Tower behind it...really? Spend that kind of money and have a radio tower in your backyard? So much for aesthetics!
