Pretty good GCI...were you the only controller for this sortie? You seemed to get a bit task saturated, especially on your new picture call where you didn't call a picture, but just labelled groups. What's your background? AWACs or CRC (assuming 13B with the Darkstar c/s).
@letsseesomerandom167 Жыл бұрын
@@Gwarrar02 thanks, it was definitely sporty. No direct background, military ATC but I worked CRC overseas with a NATO task force. That said, I wasn't doing AIC/ABM, I only do this for fun on DCS 🤘

Just finished F18 Aggressors BFM at NTTR campaign. Love this!!! I really appreciate the perspective from actual pilots and ATC. Have been steeping myself in aviation as of late and this gives me a lot to digest. Thank you! One thing that would be a huge help is to add a shadow layer over a corner that syncs with a topography map. Now not in real time as a cheat but synced over so we can get a perspective of positioning. Context so as a new pilot I can keep a mental picture as I remember where Belted Peak is, India, Rachel...etc. Glitch in the matrix at 33:06 :)

Great vid! Last year I flew during the Virtual Anatolian Eagle exercise held by the vTuAF. All assets except ground targets where player controlled including, tower, AWACS and Air Boss. One awesome preset to not ruin a great mission and exercise like this, was the "destroy missile" future. So AWACS really had to open up their eyes and players had to call FOX calls correct and within the parameters of the assigned target. You were then called "killed, terminate" and fly back to base. Not a big fireball and end of mission, but fly back to base with the right landing procedures and enough flighttime and lessons learned.

I'm an oldster in flightsimming, but a newbie to DCS. This made me realize that this level of realism is way out of my class but oh so so cool. There's just something about jets and jargon that makes me wish I were young again (I'm 71). It's like the time I started to learn the guitar, then went to a Tommy Emmanuel concert. Made me want to move "learning to play guitar" from my Bucket List to my F**k-it List. Guess I'll ditch the Viper and stick with the Spitfire. Anyway, thanks for the video. Just proves how intense it must be having this kind of "job" in real life and the professionalism it takes.

@@DoradoFever the scenarios of the Burning Sands missions are extremely realistic, along with the ATC/AIC procedures. Only thing that’s fictional are the nations involved. Imagine this - Command Modern Operations, DCS, MSFS with Vatsim, and soon to come Arma IV could integrate into a big mega event, DCS and Arma clan/teams would scramble from Europe NATO bases towards a country in Africa/Middle-East or Russia. Opposition clans would defend. Command center will monitor everything via the "Command Modern Operations screen, but with real players. However logistics etc has to be coordinated via command. Hey Spud. Maybe a suggestion for simulation to test exactly how accurate , precise pilots be in real life circumstances. Your crew is awesome and precise in chat and execution but lacks the real feel of life events. I don't have DC but really enjoy all players and different channels and players input. So maybe as a great idea to enhance Ur guys play and viewers joy. Set up a series plan of attack and defence IE. With all technology in hand, enemy forces can be seen incoming and fighters are scrambled. But never enuf enemy fighters are scrambled to combat Ur mission parameters. So teeing up with likes of Grim Reapers, Growling Sidewinder and Co to play enemy. In the means of the enemy knows you are incoming for a strike but not where and when. This would allow a 3 way setup viewing from all great channels to run in sequence. It's like having Ur mission being ambushed due to espionage. This would be great to see how individual pilots react to such an environment rather than a progdamic situation. All channels and pilots are awesome. Yet a 3 way video on how the good the bad and ugly got the Intel and wat and how they set themselves up with. IE Panes weapons etc. I hope this makes sense as I see it. It would be huge
