Hello Paul and Anthony. I was confusdsed at the start of the video with the electrician/friend talking, but all made sense when you took us on board his wide beam. Great intro there. What a lovely Wide Beam it was. The Bar was well stocked! What a lovely cruise, all 21 miles of it. Anthony smiled when Paul said he fell over. Poor Paul. I loved the lighthouse. I wonder if it lights up in the evenings. Anthony you looked really cold in your double jackets. What I like about your cruises is the things we see on the tow path, today we saw two old cranes still position. Paul explaining which way to navigate at a T-Junction. Are there signposts at these T-Junctions, or are you navigating using a map? It was interesting the way you plan out your battery usage.. How nice to see some footage of Dexter-Dog. Hey Spoolbox. Darren has been amazing and instrumental to the better performance of the batteries. We absolutely loved their widebeam and it was quite a drunken night with them 😂. Didn’t realised I smiled when Paul said he fell 🙊. Never seen the lighthouse at night, that would be fab. It was absolutely freezing. Love the stuff you see along the way too. The nature is amazing. There are sign posts but to be honest, we use a map and an app called opencanal. It shows real time as you cruise along. We do miss Dexter so much. We can’t wait to be settled so we can start looking for another crew mate. Have a lovely weekend and take care ♥️

The wide beam really is beautiful, I relate to Jo Jo’s dislike re the shower curtain but, I’m still a fan of the narrowboat, a wide beam also restricts your canal travel. Great to “celebrate” with good mates. You two have such a peaceful, laid back life, mostly anyway, to me that’s why you live on the canals. We’ve had so many beautiful trips with you this was another. LOL of course there’s moorings there when you can’t stop, always the way. 21 miles to me is a big day, anything over about 4 maybe 5 hours is a big day to me, I want to sit back and enjoy the view from my comfortable chair on the side of the canal with a glass of wine and some nibbles, if it’s warm enough or not raining. Why do people put rubbish into the canals, sure some would blow in with the wind but……. Thanks heaps guys, great vlog. See you next week, stay safe. ❤️

We loved their boat Pauline. I would hate a shower curtain 😂. I would miss the movement that a narrowboat allows. We have made so many friends since we started life on the water. It was a long day to us too. Agree, 4-5 hours is enough. We love being able to sit and have a quiet drink and nibbles too. People have no pride anymore and just dump rubbish where they see fit. That was a long go, you had me cold by the end😂. The wide beam was gorgeous, done up beautifully, it’s too bad they are limited in where they can go as it would be so much more space to live in. The bathroom in particular was so my style, not that yours isn’t lovely. Happy cruising next time👍🏼 Nothing new here, it’s getting cold, the trees are beautifully bright colours I love them at this stage before they loose their shine and are mostly still on the trees. We’ll have a storm soon and in a day the trees will be naked and my least favourite time of year will arrive. The kids are getting excited for Halloween, wanting to set up the spooky village I’ve collected over the years, some buildings have scary audio, lots have lights , there are dancing ghosties , flying bats , it’s so much fun setting it up every year. Daughter and granddaughter are busy making friend bracelets and figuring out what to wear when they go see Taylor Swift in Toronto next month……great excitement over that let me tell you😂🤣😂. They exchange bracelets with other Swifties for fun, silly to me but I remember the funny things we did as hippies, burnt all my bras😂 and wore flowers in my hair. Great memories and the music takes be back to those days. Take care, be safe and well but most of all have fun, you never know what tomorrow can bring🥰🙋🏼‍♀️

That was an epic cruise, good job no locks and a nice dry day. Widebeams and lovely and large but how on earth do you steer them, I cant a narrowboat properly. We've just been on the cut for 2 weeks, done our 1st staircase (Grindley Brook 3), our longest flight ( Audlem 15) most lift bridges (14) and most locks, 88 in 86 miles and 9 crusing days -- loved it. Also saw Pete and Caroline on the Llangollen. Oh and our wettest day in the 7 years weve been narrowboating. Happy cruising xxx

One Reno I am watching at the moment on you tube is of a large school house. The owners are involved in real estate and the family have a lot of experience with building and renovations but as they renovate they are living it . While the builders come in the owner researches the school house history and repurposes small items around the house. She has found old photos of the pupils and met some of them .

The property is in Indiana close to their family . They were living in New York City after a long search for a home they found the school house . There was a pause in their renovations when the youngest child was born in 2021 @schoolhousehomestead

It was definitely a longer cruise than we would normally do. We had a lovely evening though. We loved the widebeam, just beautiful. They don’t cruise, they got that because they are stationary. Have a good weekend ♥️

I'm guessing that the limitations they pose when continuous cruising might make them less attractive for many people though. Absolutely loved the widebeam Heidi. So beautiful. It was a mammoth journey. The amount of rubbish that came off the prop was sad to see. Just total lack of consideration. We do love evening cruises. Hi guys, have you ever considered fitting a prop mounted cutting blade, they are mainly used to cut lines caught round the prop but will cut pretty much anything caught round the prop, weed, plastic extra. I'm interested in your opinion because obviously they are an expense most narrowboats don't opt for because they have the weed hatch. It does seem that more and more weed and rubbish is in the canals these days so it's something I'm considering depending on the cost etc. Thanks for the vid.

It was on the right, just before the bridge, where the building was lit up that we moored on Lymm High School prom night. Apart from the group of youths causing mischief, it was a reasonable and quiet spot.

I wanted to say how terribly sorry I am about Dexter, what a beautiful boy I’m sure he was and I think you both can rest easy in knowing you gave him a wonderful life and I’m sure he is in a phenomenal place 😢😢. One of the hardest things in life is saying goodbye to the ones you love and hold dearest to your heart. I’ve had to say goodbye to 2 beautiful dogs, companions and best friends in my life and it never gets easier but what brings me peace is knowing I loved them deeply and made sure they knew it and I’m positive you both can say the same. May Dexter rest in peace and god bless.

It all depends on how fast we run the motor but we can cruise usually for about 6 hours and only use 20% of the batteries ❤️
