Hey guys!
Here you go, I have finally filmed it for you. I tried mt best to cover all tasks I do as a registered nurse at the public hospital I work in and also my second place of work in aged care.
First 30 minutes are about hospital practice and second 30 minutes cover aged care sector.
I hope this video will be helpful for you all :) Thx for watching! xx

Thanks for the video - I’ve been nursing in the UK for the last 4 years so it’s a good reminder of the schedule in Australia that I will be coming back to.

Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for this amazing video. I started my first RN shift today in the aged care facility and it was quite overwhelming… as im used to the hospital setting and how things work there when switching over, this video helps me a lot as it gives me more insight into tasks management and how to responsibly caring for 30+ people.. cheers :)

Loved seeing your progression thru the years! Congrats on your success 🥰 can i ask if you have plans for the future of nursing? Are you looking at or interested in specialising in a particular clinical subject/area? Can i also ask how you manage difficult clients ie mentally affected? Thanks

Thank you 😊 Atm I want to try different wards, possibly ED as I loved working there as a student and also perioperative. Then in about 3 years time I'm planning on completing cer 4 in training and assessment to apply for a teaching position at TAFE to prep future nurses. I love teaching you see haha

At my ward we don't have many clients with mental illnesses. Generally it's more anxiety or depression kind of problems. As a nurse you use gentle approach, calm and friendly tone of voice and try to listen and understand what your client wants. For those who have ongoing anxiety or depression problems there are specific medication for it. And if situation gets unsafe if someone becomes agressive towards staff, you can call code black for the security to come. Which doesn't happen often on my ward. Rather in ED I would say.

Hi Mavdeep! What a great question actually. You have no idea how many nurses struggle with same thing. I'll film a video for you guys ☺️

Informative video however I would suggest to refrain saying “you know” in every sentence. It’s a little bit disturbing. But overall great.

Thank you for noticing! English is not my first language and talking to an audience of couple of thousands online is not an easy thing. Therefore, sometimes I do use words parasites due to those reasons. I'm glad though that information I provide is useful.
