My issue with the NBA is 2 things right now 1. Streaming, the nba has made it difficult and expensive for people to even be able to watch their local team, let alone other teams unless they get a national tv spot. 2. If I compare this to competitive video games, like yall said the analytic guys have pretty figured out NBA basketball, they've found the "meta". And just like a competitive video game, the upper ranks of players have boiled the game down to where there is pretty much one way to play and if you don't play that way or fit that mold you get replaced by a guy who can

In a league where there are fewer positions per game, double big lineups clogging the lane, and coaching staff punishing players for shooting shots the 10th man off the bench shoots today, of course league wide averages would be lower. The top of the league in any post segregation era would still be elite players today, especially if they get the benefit of modern development.

I hate to agree with big Perk but I truly believe that Shai should be the MVP if the season continues as is. Sure Giannis and Jokic may be better individual players, but the precedent is to go by records as well. Hence why people still hate on Russ's MVP or why Bron did not win more than he did.
