Haven he’s really not that bad as you think he is, the meme blew it out of proportion because he initially rated some big cards low like defile (which in his defense wasn’t played at the time of release cause zoolock was the best warlock deck) so the community disregard Trump for some reason. And his gimmick still is predicting the meta decks and rating the cards on that rather than in a vacuum like most pros

You can even see it in this video: the way that the power of a card is measured is its popularity and strength of the archetypes in which it's played. Even if there is a single clearly OP card, if it only fits into an archetype that's very weak, it will still be rated lowly.

@@abrakadaniel5908 Unless changed, there's actually a pity timer for legendaries. In the first 10 packs you are guaranteed a legendary. From then on, you are guaranteed 1 in 40. Chances increase the closer you get to pack 40. The pity timer resets after getting a legendary.

My feelings for hearthstone is that I can’t wait for the legends of runeterra open beta so I can quit this garbage game. In reality I love this game, but my favorite part of hearthstone is crafting new homebrew decks and testing them in the meta. A few of them have turned out quite well, but about half of them flop, and I just can’t afford it. Half of the time I log in I think of a new deck I want to try out, check my collection, realize I can’t afford it, then log out. I have less legendaries now than I did months ago, cause it takes forever to get one, and I’m constantly dusting the few I have so I can craft epic cards for my decks that end up being useless half the time. I bought the druid hero bundle recently. $25 and I got a single trash legendary (hireek). Even after dusting it I got around 1600 dust. I paid 25 FUCKING DOLLARS AND I GOT 1 CARD I GAVE A SHIT ABOUT OUT OF IT. How is that ok? I have been playing this game FOR YEARS and I always feel behind. Even after spending $50+ on it. Every expansion is the same. I buy packs of the new expansion as much as I can. New expansion comes out and I still don’t have half the epics/legendaries of the previous expansion, yet I have to save for the new one. End up opening like 20 packs. Still don’t have much of the last expansion, and even less of the current one. I have ended up basically dusting my entire collection for every class except paladin and warrior because that’s the only way I can have the cards necessary for a single class. I haven’t played a competitive Mage or shaman deck in YEARS cause I can’t afford it. I’m bored with my decks, but I can’t play any new ones. See I’m a competitive player at heart. Have reached legend every month since like 5 months ago. I need to play the best version of the deck in order to do well in ranked (the only mode I enjoy) and the way things are I can only do that by playing galakrond warrior, but I’m sick of playing that deck, and paladin is terrible atm. You have to cheese people for wins and it’s unfun. I’m just frustrated and bored. I love this game, but I’m just about frustrated enough to switch to LoR as soon as it comes out later this month (24th). Their monetization is extremely fair, can only earn packs through playing the game, and it feels like they actually give a shit about the player experience. If I end up enjoying the game like I hope I do, then I plan on spending more money on cosmetics than I ever did in Hearthstone, as a way to show my support.

Sonix07pr I dont agree with you, the game now is giving everyday 60 gold quest, i played just enough to complete them during the evolve shaman meta to buy 40 pack without spending 1$, and they were just enough to test 2-3 cool decks (gala rez priest, gala rogue and some various hunter). The problem is if you throw away your dust to craft bad cards (as you said) for some homebrew decks that didnt work instead of crafting 5 star safecraft... I’m enjoying HS now more then ever

@@MisterPollaccio Ok, so you're suggesting that the way to enjoy the game is to wait until the meta settles to then craft the best cards. That's exactly the opposite of what I find fun. I want to experiment, be a part of those developing the meta with new strategies that others, like yourself, are perfectly happy netdecking. I'm glad you're having a good time with the game, that's fantastic and I'm happy you can find enjoyment in it, but just because you're ok with the current economy of the game doesn't mean everyone else should be as well. Furthermore, there shouldn't be a right and wrong way to enjoy this game. If the only way to have a good experience is either spending dust extremely carefully by netdecking, or spending tons of money to have all the cards to experiment with, then honestly, I'd rather not play anymore.

I personally don't have any regards to community or streamer opinions. I base it on my own sense of "is it good or not", and work with it from there. But these statistics seem rather mixed as when Priest and Hunter were addressed for the lack of nerfs to Face Hunter and Rez Priest, they were stated as seeing a trickle down effect as they gradually moved up the ladder (they saw less play the higher one goes).

Now that players can but wild packs with gold, can you do a video about getting into wild? It's going to be easier than ever to get into wild when the next expansion hits. Specifically, I would be interested in how many packs players should open from each wild expansion. Besides the "1 legendary within 10 packs" rule, there is probably some way to determine the effectiveness of packs from each set similar to how you have videos discussing how many useful cards you can expect to get from each standard packs. I use Envoy of Lazul. Don't judge me. Envoy of Lazul is a somewhat good card. You get to see one of the cards in your opponent's hand, no matter what, and the other two most likely to be in your opponent's deck. And with Lazul herself, you can almost guarantee getting those cards. I don't care if you all judge me, I love to use Psychic tech.

Tentacled Menace just needs a good deck to put it in to make it work. It’s essentially a Bright-Eyed Scout but even better for a deck that would’ve run that. Also, Skyfin helps make menagerie decks work in wild, as they only had a few payoffs for playing menagerie previously. The only reason it isn’t played in standard is lack of support. Also, Face Hunter isn’t really one of the best decks, it really falls off past rank 5.

Actually, wild is much cheaper than it seems to be. For example, you spend ~16000 dust on reno warlock, and find out, that it is playable ETERNALLY with one or two cards changed. So it is with you forever.

Were Kripp's rating about standard play? Some cards seem to be rated for arena; Like Blowtorch Saboteur. No way he thought that a 3 mana 3-4 that makes ONE hero power cost 1 more mana, was a 3 stars card... In arena it's fine, 3 mana 3-4 with a minor benefit. In standard, it's absolute garbage, and there's no way anyone could think this would see a lot of play in strong decks (enough to warrant 3 stars).

Murloc Paladin is still a thing. I rank up in no time, maybe i just have good draws but on the other side it's really easy sometimes to push dmg through with the Murlocs, and hold the board even if you couldn't play that ridicouless murloc spell on turn 5. And it also is kinda fun because you/ everyone who runs this deck can sometimes highroll in instant combos, board clears and buffs. I felt down from 9 back to ten with my Warlock but ranked 2 up after i did won 5/6 Times in a row against any deck, (except Deathrattle Rogue) and now i am at Rank 8. I guess that's the only deck i can play right now to rank high fast enough. If someone else would play Murloc Paladin i would not mind this. ;) I did also outrun Quest Hunter, with that deck. It also kills Priests very easily 😪

May I ask why rogue galakrond is considered "Meta Defining"? Galakrond deck on itself has a terrible winrate and is currently around tier 4. Its various archetype is supported by *other* overpowered cards instead, where Deathrattle Galakrond is supported by Necrium Apothecary and Singleton Galakrond is supported by Necrium Apothecary and also Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. It seems that the Galakrond itself is not a very powerful tool, or is that only me?

Shaman is so strong that it has eliminated any of the control Decks that would be fun to try with the new cards. That leaves only aggro decks left in an attempt to rush down shaman before it completes its quest or the galakrond invokes. I'm not sure if the new nerfs will help the meta. The deck that keeps me from playing is aggro Hunter and it is not being touched. I just hate playing against the deck, it is Mindless and no fun. This expansion feels as if blizzard didn't play or test any of the cards at all.

Cumulo Maximus wasn't overrated. It is a 5 star card but Overload Shaman is not a popular deck right now and the few ones being played don't need burst in this meta. In any other meta with a relevant Overload Shaman, Cumulo Maximus would without a doubt be 5 star. The card is just too good.

Standard and battlegrgounds are the only modes i play in hearthstone. I dont like wild because of the insane amount of power in the decks there aswell as the huge amount of cards/decks make it very hard and not even fun to try and predict your opponents moves because they can have literally anything. I never really liked the arena mode either because it means that i cant play the deck i want to, even if it gives good rewards for winning.

Remember, he also gives your opponent 10 mana to deal with him, isn't consistent, and most meta decks can deal with him. He only really beats face hunter

Im not sure how fair this is to trump. He does not rate cards by their power, but rather by the power of the deck the card is in. Anchaar is obviously insane, but if Pirate Warrior is not looking to be Tier 1 (or 2), then it will not get 5 stars.
