Didn't see it in the comments, so I looked it up, Thomas Odukoya made the team: "Afterwards, the Titans announced on August 27 that he had made the team's 53-man roster for the 2024 season." and Abram was cut: "On August 27, he was cut during final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad on August 28 despite having been a contender for a starting safety role."

He's a great story. Grew up in the Netherlands, played a year of American football, loved it, played JuCo football before signing with Eastern Michigan. Undrafted free agent with the Titans last year (I think), on the practice squad for all of 2023. If he makes the team this year, it will be as a special teams player.

1:28 This right here is a classic example of waiting until you're in the end-zone to celebrate. #24 Doesn't even have the ball and decides to throw his arms out and start celebrating, rather than making sure the two defenders on his left don't get the tackle. If he had simply done his job, it would have been a touchdown. If I was the coach, I wouldn't be letting him hear the end of that for the rest of the season.

Larry Fitzgerald did, but he got "blocked" by one of his own teammates who was watching from the sideline and inadvertently got in his way. If Larry has a free run, he catches Harrison a couple of yards sooner and might have been able to bring him down before the goal line. Heck, if Fitz's blind swipe at the ball when he did catch Harrison had connected, he might have pulled it off anyway.

Marcus Mariota would’ve had a huge run for a TD against Stanford if DeAnthony Thomas had the block/slow down the defender instead of trying to outrun Mariota. This was in 2012, and that play, honestly, helped Stanford upset Oregon. Oregon probably wins the national title that year if Thomas blocks/slows the defender down (as they would get undefeated Notre Dame). That changed the entire momentum of the drive and game.
@nintendo81272 ай бұрын
First thing I think of seeing some of the comments about players hustling, or celebrating/trying to outrun the ballcarrier instead of block/slow down.
@thatonewriter80432 ай бұрын
Proof that Notre Dame going 12-0 that year was going to cause the playoff system regardless. Clearly, ND wasn't even in the same league as Bama, but if anyone else had also gone 12-0, there would have been a no-win choice between three teams. Either Bama gets snubbed for their one loss despite being the best team that year (we'd all feel *so* bad for them, I know), or a 12-0 team gets snubbed because of SEC bias. Shame that Notre Dame and Oregon couldn't have exchanged fates. Bama vs. Oregon was probably the best viable title game option, but I think brand power had them as the odd team out regardless.

Never forgot about all the early mornings & late nights practicing, drilling, sacrificing everything that others took for granted only to have this opportunity to demonstrate that he was ready to play 60 minutes giving it all 100%. That’s what I want to see in every game by every player 100% focus and determination. And to those that do not achieve 100% then I want them to be “jellyfish”.
