You know that I have never been the biggest Billie Eilish fan, but I actually love Filip and Albina’s cover so much more than the original. Goosebumps every time!! All of these duets were terrific, though! Such amazing chemistry comes through each performance. I often think that some of the duets created for the Battles, in various countries, should go on to record together. They seem to bring out the best in each other. 💁🏻‍♀️👏😍

What an opening! It's been more than 30 years since I first listened to Gabriel's heart-pressed [sic, coined adjective] "Don't Give Up." That young Belgian couple caused me to stop the upload and rewind thrice before moving to the next performance. Pure, you then somehow managed to assure that there was no discontent with the succeeding artists. The voices of Rudan, Moe, and Melnik affected me particularly, though all of these singers --- every single duet --- was, in a word, _sublime._ 💑

I have been watching these romantic battles, wondering if I will find a battle that is more impressive than Albina and Filip, but it hasn't happened yet! They sang beautifully together, and them holding hands at the very end is the perfect ending to that song. I never get tired of watching the two of them!

A wonderful collection, quite romantic as promised...every performance here was so varied as to the song choices, the acting interactions in the battle and the emotional impact. Some of the great songwriters of our time with performances to match, like "Stay" and "Dusk Till Dawn" and "Where the Wild Roses Grow" (which was a knockout, for example). A great choice was the operatic"Memory" as the opera style is so rare in these Voice presentations. I loved every one of these, thanks as always to Pure and @eco2geek for this collaboration! Superb...

I didn't have a chance to comment on this week's video because my wife and I were attending a wedding. Two people who had each lost a spouse had found each other. A romantic story indeed. And a few songs featured in this video were played at this wedding. Another wonderful collection from our favorite creator. Well done, Pure!!

Vasyl has one of THE most beautiful voices I’ve EVER heard ❣️♥️🎶. Mars is great too. Love Bram also. All the males actually were outstanding !! The gals were (meh) good too, but I’m just not a fan of hardly any female voices, except Cher, Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, etc., the lower registers.

Some of these were really good and some were great but none affected me like the Ukrainian duet. I had no idea what they were singing about but it gave me chills and tears by the end. Just beautiful.

It is not just the lyrics but the context. The name of the song translates- ‘sleep by yourself, alone”, where along the verses the man addresses the woman - ‘sleep by yourself, alone, when I cannot be next to you”, it rings more somber when you hear the male singer, Vasyl, being announced on stage - he’s the officer in Ukrainian army, and in light of war with Russia on Ukrainian eastern border going on since 2014 the song takes much more hear wrenching meaning. Many men like Vasyl left thousands of widows behind…

I was intrigued by Olga and Vasyl I believe his name was, so I found the Ukrainian video of their performance. It turns out that Olga suffers from anxiety and had a severe anxiety attack just before stepping on stage.
