He's a fun god, I enjoy playing vamana. But personally I wouldn't duel with vamana. He's a pretty linear god. He's a great solo, sometimes I even play support vamana. tho I've seen some pretty garbage and toxic vamanas. Vamana in arena is pretty much that player who doesn't play skill based.. or tactics.. or team play whatsoever. But doesn't have as bad a death ratio as he should. That's kind of what I imagine taking vamana into duel with. Nu wa is definitely not good early game against vamana but there's better bans if you're playing nu wa
