I had put it in his exploit section on his discord that he could use nets for the second exploit much easier. They have a max stack of 5 and crafting 1 is easy, meaning you can pull off the exponential growth portion of the exploit within like 3 minutes of gameplay. Tho Idk if he ever saw my recommendation. I would presume not since he didn't use the nets for the exponential growth exploit.

@@MohamedSci exactly. Since the nets have a max stack of 5, but items like leaves, wood, and plastic are all 20, you can break the max stack of 5 of the nets almost immediately during gameplay. This allows what spiff demonstrated to be done even faster into the game. And after breaking the max stack, you just need to shift click the items into a chest and you'll have the exponential growth exploit.

To be fair, once you reach terminal velocity it makes sense that the damage caps out. You'd just expect that cap to be beyond survivable range. That being said, when you think about it some people have survived falls from great height - albeit with severe injuries. So it actually makes some measure of sense that it isn't lethal.

I saw a story years ago (which was probably fake, but I never investigated further) about a plane which suffered an explosive decompression at cruising altitude. The only survivor was one of the cabin crew who was sucked out of the fuselage as it started to break apart and they walked away from a fall of over thirty thousand feet with only cuts and bruises as they landed in a forest and the trees somehow slowed them enough that they didn't hit a hard surface (like the ground or a tree branch) with enough force to cause serious injury.

To duplicate now you have to dump items into storage, save, take the items out of storage then quit with save, then reload the previous backup save. You end up with both the items in inventory AND in the storage.

If I’m being honest I’d love to see what you could build and do with those two exploits and all of the tech unlocked. Imagine a multistory raft reaching as high as that tower. Each level is massive and sustainable. Multiple farms, engines, sails, smelters, storage, you could build a floating city with infinite resource if you wanted. Then charge people with toll booths to go from level to level.

That raft's monolith must be perfectly balanced, otherwise how do you explain the raft not capsizing? The reason that climbing up the tower was so challenging is probably because the entire raft as a single unit is bobbing every-which direction in the waves. Every little wave at the floor level is barely anything. At say, 300 meters, a 5 degree tilt at the floor level of the raft would translate into about 26 meters of movement at the top of the tower. And then it can go 10 degrees the opposite direction almost instantly, for a total of about 52 meters of movement a second. So basically, the game is very confused about how you're managing to hold onto the tower as you get flung back-and-forth while climbing it as it sways around at 182 kilometers per hour (116 miles per hour). It's no wonder you were getting flung off. Other notes about RAFT from watching other people: 1. The draw distance of islands is centered on the core of your raft. If you built a long bridge on your raft several thousand platforms long, you could go right through an island and not even see it, and the island would basically not exist while the character is standing in it. 2. Making supermassive rafts that are capable of covering an entire island will lag the game out, and produce ridiculous clipping. The game will struggle to figure out how to handle the raft's movement in waves. With a large enough raft, you'll see it see-sawing and dipping into the water from side-to-side. If you want to see some funky stuff in RAFT, you could try building a giant structure on top of a small raft, and see what happens when a shark finally destroys the bottom layer of the raft. Imagine a raft floating over the ocean as if it were flying. But still bobbing up and down in the waves that it's not even in. Or maybe it falls down into the water. Who knows?
