I was there in 2004. My wife and I rode there from Illinois on our Harley. We actually rode it twice, Banff to Jasper, stayed around Jasper a few days, and then back to Banff. I’ve been all over the US and Canada, including Alaska, on a motorcycle and I would agree that the Icefields Parkway is the most scenic!!!

Just come back from a 6 day trip across Canada, from Calgary to Banff, to Vancouver....before doing a cruise. Took in Lake Louise, Bow Lake, the Icefields Parkway, the Banff Gondola. Had two nights in Banff as well which is stunning. I watched this KZbin Clip before we travelled and was chuffed to spend an hour at Crossing Hotel, where we took in the views. Breathtaking is all I can say. Pictures and video clips don't do it justice and I hope I get the chance to go back there in the future.

Parks Canada does a great job of educating people about the dangers associated with animals but I don't think they do enough education regarding the dangers of tiny logs on the ground. Tommy folding himself into a pretzel was kookslam worthy. Love your videos guys. Cheers from Vancouver.

Best way to see this is by bicycle. Did it once in the 80’s and twice in the 90’s. Good paved shoulders almost all the way. Lots of fantastic short and full day hikes. Best hiking is around the Columbia Ice Fields - Parker’s Ridge, Nigel Pass, Wilcox Pass and hiking to the ridge that gives you an amassing view of the glacier on Mount Athabasca. Best campsites are the walk-in sites at the Columbia Ice field Campground - need a good sleeping bag as you can wake up in the snow any day all summer long.

But we enjoyed your channel so much that we have stayed with you since you left. You are welcome guests in our lounge room whenever you post something. If you ever decide to pass through Victor Harbor in South Australia ( a smart thing to do!) you can book yourself in to our humble abode for 3 bed and breakfasts on the trot. Not likely I guess, but thanks for sharing your journey with us. Dave and Joy ❤️

I've driven from Calgary to Jasper via Banff several times. I've done Athabasca falls but not some of the other hikes. Bow lake was nice to see since the calendars and other scenic literature take a shot from higher up. Any locals watching this, try the drive to Jasper via Rocky Mountain House. It's also nice. But you have to pay to get into the park. You come in at the Columbia Icefields.
