Definitely agree , it's the most beautiful drive I've done! I came from northwest BC and drove with family from Jasper to Banff in April, and let me tell you with SNOW, it's 100x more magical!! (at least to me) Also, getting to walk across a completely frozen Lake Louise was such a surreal experience. Glad you guys got to see the area!

Waterton Lakes on the Canada side of the park is stunning. I believe we stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel, which overlooks the lake. Absolutely beautiful views!

We are going for the first time. 8/28-9/4. I’m worried about forest fires and smoke interrupting our views. Any thoughts on that?

We have no concrete information on this but yes, it is fairly common to see forest fires/smoke during late summer/early October.
