I used to wake up at 3-5am and go meditate by this line of trees down by the river… it was magical! I would be in such deep meditation I could not feel bugs crawling all over me until I had awoken and I would see source energy flowing up and down my body when I would breathe in and out, bright white light flowing with my breathing pattern. The energy is so calm and less chaotic due to everyone else being asleep and the dawn of a new day. 🙏❤️

Hare Krishna, I’m a monk in the Gaudiya Viashnava sanatana dharma tradition. We get up anywhere from 2am-4am everyday and chant the holy names, meditate, or read scriptures. At 4:30 am we have A Mangala Aarati where we sing, dance, and offer aarati to the lord. I’d really like to speak with you sometime. You actually inspired a lot in making the jump to full time spiritual life many years ago. Thanks for the video Vishuddha Das. Your servant,

Oh nice, what a fun and unique topic! I can definitely agree about the stillness in the hour(s) before sunrise. I used to have insomnia bad, and the only upside of not sleeping was the solitude i could enjoy in those hours early in the day. Also, I thought you were going to mention how 3AM is considered "the witching hour" because the veil between spirit world and material world is at its thinnest. I wonder, what's your thoughts on this??

It’s really interesting how in Islam there’s something called Tahajud which is an extra night prayer that’s optional for Muslims to do before sunrise. It’s said whoever prays Tahajud, their prayers are always answered because during that time specifically Allah (God) is the closest to the earth to hear prayers willing to respond to whoever calls upon Him. It’s considered a very special prayer. How similar it is to this is fascinating

This is one part of spiritual life that I don't think uhh..resonates with me in this lifetime haha. Waking up any time before 8am feels downright miserable, and believe me I've tried making myself into a morning person. I actually prefer doing my spiritual practices at night, that's when I feel the most awake and peaceful. ☺️ I can do my meditation, chanting, journaling and reflect on the day I just had, and wind down for sleep.

in the summer (germany) I sometimes wake up at that time and then I like to go out in the forest and spend the sunrise there. its such a powerful experience! everybody in that place is waking up and preparing for the great moment. from silence more and more birds beginn to sing and everything gets more energetic, untill its like a great party and everybody sings together to greet the sun. and then when its done its time for the wild goose couples to fly a round together. its like their ritual i see them every time :)

At the meditation center I go to, the first practice of the day is from 4-6:30 AM, and I always had such a hard time remaining alert at this time no matter how much sleep I got. Because it was so hard for me to sit early in the morning in even a quiet and conducive place for meditation, trying to do it at home has been out of the question for the longest time! However, as I've evolved in my practice, meditating early in the morning is starting to become my favorite practice because of the stillness of the world, and feeling so alert right as the sun is rising is so lovely. I feel like I'm finally in a place where I could try implementing this early morning practice at home.

There was once this period of my life where i did for a whole month and had a very anchored in routine, doing kundalini breath work in the morning and meditating right after. I remember feeling so tapped into my intuition and my inner guidance, very powerful. I wish I continued to grow in that routine but i've been finding hard to go back. i'm definitely going to try it again! watching your video made me remember my why. thank you!

I have been naturally waking up at 4:30- 5:00 am. I get really bummed because then the day will be really L o n g as I do not work right now and recently relocated so I do not have friends or work. I often think to sit up and meditate but have not done that. It is a complete Chore to try to stay in bed longer when I am wide awake at 4:30. This morning I went into the kitchen and chopped vegetables in prep for my lunch. I live with people and they were not home.

this is my 2nd try at getting up around 5am, and i half succeeded lol i got up at 4.40am, did sadhana and pet duties until 8am, and went to go practice music like i wanted but started feeling seriously ill... like a combination of nausea and pain, the chills and depression all rolled into one.. i couldn't do it and went to lie down and woke up at 10.30am lol xD i've never been a fan of getting up early but after trying for a month of sleeping early (without waking up too early) i have realised the huge difference in energy levels and concentration etc.. but it seems going to bed early and adding waking up earlier is a different kettle of fish lol try and try and try again as they say. good luck everyone!

If we go sleep at 10pm and wake up at 3am. That’s 5 hours of sleep I understand. But, if we then meditate from 3am to 6am. Can those 3 hrs replace our sleep? As I know yogis sleep less and meditate more.
@suvsuvra5401
@suvsuvra5401 3 ай бұрын
See, the concept behind 6-8 hrs of sleep is the “pointers”. Usually, for normal people, 9-pointers of sleep are the best. So if we go to bed at 9 pm and wake up at 3 Am. We get all the 9 pointers of sleep. So in bet 12-3 am we get 2 pointers per hour. And after 3am-6am we gets one pointer per hour.
