First and third gowns were great on their brides. The second lady was sad and I was sad for her. It is strange how they made some alterations or choices seemingly without consulting the bride first, and the arms did not seem to fit her either. I hope everything was done properly and on time for her wedding.

@@bunnyfamily8571 I feel like maybe you're thinking of custom dresses. Like, they take your measurements and make the dress to fit those measurements. That isn't what these stores do. They use sizes like normal off the rack clothing, and then adjust once it's ordered and comes into the store. So "fitting" appointments are the dress they ordered and bought in a given size, but then may need more work to make fit perfectly. It does look like they could have gone down a size, but she's in alterations, and they'll work it out.

BunnyFamily I had to have multiple fittings (and most of my friends) because the top was boned (corset) and they didn’t want to move it to much without checking in on size. And that dress was also boned so maybe that’s why?

As the mother of the bride, I only say no if I don't see "The Look" in my daughter's eyes. My daughter will be wearing powder blue and white with black accents. If she loves it, I love it! ☺❤

Kk Black I don’t know if that makes her right. While the sample dress was different from the one she ordered it may still have been her mistake. She may have said white to the consultant not knowing that the sample was ivory.

Second bride - the dress was not fitted properly to her body. It should fit smoothly, shoulder straps should NOT be falling off her shoulders. That being said, when fitting for a gown, one should be wearing a properly fitting, body hugging, body shaping undergarment, wear the shoes (heels) that you will be wearing for the wedding and FOR GOODNESS SAKE STAND STRAIGHT AND TALL IN STEAD OF SLOUCHING AND STANDING LIKE A LUMP. Far too many girls, young and mature women either were never taught, or if taught just never learned or don't care, to how to stand tall, meaning straighten the spine, tuck in the butt and suck in the tummy, lift the chest (not stick out the boobs, it's different), hold shoulders down and back, and lift the head keeping the chin parallel to the floor. I learned how to do this when I was 13 in order to be allowed to wear my first pair of heels (low heel was the style of the time, but still heels). I was told that I would not be allowed to do so unless I could stand and walk gracefully rather than clumping along. It didn't take long to learn how to stand and it became second nature. Funny, even when I am in flats, people thing I am taller than my 5 ft 3 3/4" because I stand straight and tall.

Wait until you get a diagnosis that you will have to live with every day of your life and only get worse. Then get your second life altering diagnosis. To top it off, have a stroke 5 days after your husband goes overseas for a year leaving you to manage everything at home by yourself. I have seen people worse off, people have no idea what true stress is. Inconvenience or not meeting perfectionist ideals is just a minor frustration.

First dress, you can totally take out that stitching on the neckline that makes it more obvious, the illusion netting doesn't fray, so it doesn't need a finishing stitch. Just leave the edge raw and it'll disappear on the skin

For the 2nd bride's issue: where's the paperwork? If she didn't order a color change, that should have been noted. Always agree on the terms, conditions, and additions before signing. Once that's done, make sure to have a copy for yourself as backup. If the shop messes up the order, you have proof. The shop should make alterations for free at that point as compensation.

Ok where Im from you can buy a dress few days before your wedding if it was off the rack. And if you want a custom made dress it wouldn’t take more than a month. I dont know how they buy a dress a wait for about 8 months I mean a lot can change during these months. Oh and also, where I live you can rent the dress and most people here actually rent not buy their dresses because first its way cheaper and second most people dont want to keep a dress that they will wear only for a couple of hours even if it was your wedding dress
