All of the Academy versions of the Nike Vapor, Superfly, and Phantom are low-key useful for people that have to play on both natural and synthetic grass surfaces, because their cleats are designed for both FG and MG surfaces -- the more expensive Pro and Elite versions of these boots are recommended for FG surfaces only.

I would still opt for the 14 academy. I know it feels cheap, but it's more comfortable and doesn't require breaking in period. In the end, you'd want to focus on the game rather than focusing on your feet. I have the 14 academy for my rotation during training or match, I guess I'm more a rounded studs folk than the bladed studs folk

Super disappointed that the zoom unit isnt in the forefoot , like the size was to be expected , but nike could've atleast put the zoom unit somewhere that wouldve atleast had a similar effect to the elite

Totally approve, I get the point that it is a takedown model but of they could’ve put in in the heel they could have done it underneith the toes or forefoot( not the 3/4 length as on the higher models)

I wore the academy 15 for a couple of games after coming from pro 13 and I regret not spending the extra money. Academy material is cheap and fits wider than the pros. The extra room makes me feel less in control. Yes I’m already wearing grip socks

This character development from Nike is ridiculous. They used to punish -poor- non-wealthy athletes who bought into the Nike hype at any pricepoint other than the absolute peak highest most overpriced. The top tier shoes were usually good-great, certainly never perfect, but the lower end shoes always injured me. Nike was str8 up crushing the dreams of young athletes. I hated them as a company, the shoes were always so bad it would've been better that they didn't even make them. Your vid on the Mercurial 15 TF Academy convinced me to try and buy them. Solid. lightweight and comfortable shoes. Are they perfect? Nowhere close. Are they the best turf shoe on the market while also being cheap? Yes. Am I commenting on the wrong video? Perhaps.

They run pretty small..I’m size 10.5 at most (10 smallest) and had to get 11’s. Haven’t used them yet though I’ll keep you posted! 🤙🏼

@@gabe8176 I’ve really been enjoying them. They’re nice & snug and fit perfectly for me. They’re a lot more comfortable if you have some extra insoles around (same size or your foot won’t fit). A lot of my teammates get the elites over the academy’s but I didn’t even try the elites so I wouldn’t be able to tell you the difference. Overall, they’re working for me just fine so far. I’ll keep you updated if anything changes. We play mostly on turf btw
