2 thoughts- I like how he casually mentions they escaped & were never caught like that’s not concerning & also, Mr.Ballen is a national treasure so I hope these stories don’t start taking their toll on him. I discovered him, watched every single video in a maniacal 3 week binge & then had to take a break from these types of videos for my psychological well being. He does this all the time & I hope it doesn’t begin to effect his psyche.

That just shows how powerful belief systems are. No amount of education or IQ can withstand the power of strong belief system. It rules above them all. And you can see very good example of this right now with covid. Even with high education and high IQ and still many people blindly accept the narrative even when even child can see the many holes it has. How is this possible many with working brain ask? Because of strong belief in the "system" and strong belief that whatever mass media tells us must be true. So how to avoid getting into a cult thinking? Never lock yourself into a belief system. Always be prepared to change your mind as new evidence emerges. Do not want to be right, that locks you into some belief after you come into some conclusion. Most people fall into this trap. After you think you "know the truth" you only can see this belief and are blind to any other data and only wish to find evidence which supports your truth. You are locked in a belief system. So, what you should do is to constantly be after the truth, because finding the truth is always a journey where you take many wrong turns and you must be willing to change direction when needed. This requires humility, which is rare. Keep critical thinking alive and always question everything. Keep an attitude of: I don't know, but I learn as I go along and find new data. But beware, if you do this people will not like you. You will be dangerous because this world is full of lies and those who lie don't like to be shown that they are lying. You can take the blue pill and close your eyes from the truth and play along and be left alone. Or you can take the red pill and be constantly after the truth, which will open your eyes to the corruption and lies of this world and you will be called with many unpleasant names.. but it will be the truth.. and that is what this world desperately needs.

I have so many thoughts because this one was a doozy!! 1) If they believe in "self denial", what was the mental gymnastics that had to be performed for Frank to think sex with his sisters and mothers was pure? Sex and incest? Sounds like a double whammy of big no-nos. 2) This is another reason as to why I'm not religious. 3) Given that Frank was treated as a prophet from the day he was born, this makes me think about the question as to whether or not people are inherently bad or good. Obviously, we don't know the intricate details of everyone's interaction with Frank but what made him be so evil? Is it human nature for people to be evil unless taught morals? Did the dad already have a propensity for violence and taught Frank? Or did the fact that Frank had no rules, no boundaries mold him without any intervention from his father?

You say it. Notice how some but few liked this comment too. A bunch of fools with their heads in the sand lately. Sometimes people prefer falsehoods from reality, because the reality is too scary and gives them a powerless feeling. Want to piss people off, just tell them the stark truth. I think society (today at least) LIKES lies. Enjoys superficiality. Celebrates being always right. Cannot allow compromise in a challenge. Rather let others control them as long as they can have their small comforts. Today is too passive. Too sensitive. Too jaded. Too self righteous. Too manipulated and used. Too warped and twisted. The tools we have been taught to trust to lead our wellbeing, have been lying directly to our faces for DECADES if not centuries, but no one seems to notice, no one seems to care. Phones are talking over our realities. Our perceptions are tailored every day with this device we always communicate on. We are already all half-soulless cyborgs and rocketing into the arch of humanity and the point of no return where we simply regress in the advancements of technology. It’s not looking too good for any future generations, because the past, history and it’s lessons are being erased and bended to fit narratives. May god have mercy on all our souls because got another thing coming with all this soon. Nature will act to take back this existence from us. We are too focused on us being perfect and right in shallow ways rather than finding quality, and wisdom. Instant gratification. It will lead us on the road to hell.

John is so talented with the way he dissects a story, I can only imagine the hours that would take to get every inch of the story correct - seriously just how well thought out the process is. Also the difference showing us real photos, making it all the more immersive and in contrast terrifying. This story really took the cake for me, it wasn't about a serial killer or, murderer but, actually, detached humans, from reality. The manipulation that went into this; Frank was naturally evil from the start and the cult just embellished & relish his fantasy to fruition. I can't believe above all that Harold, was seemingly a normal man, working in a mine, who just happened to join a cult, then further descended into insanity once the leader passed on. Then, laying the inheritance of his beliefs upon his son, which turned him from a child to a martyr. One of the worse I've heard in a long time and I've seen I'm sure 100s of these now EDIT: Thankyou for all the likes! I'm glad my comment resonates with so many people, what a story this was!

The officer let John off with a warning about the turn signal and a thank you for the story. Word spread amongst all of the surrounding jurisdictions about John and his storytelling; soon a BOLO was issued for a car matching the description of John's. This can’t be real. My brain just can’t even fathom this. This is probably the most unGodly thing I have ever heard of. Where do you find these stories? Good grief! 😮

As one who has dealt with a plate-less microwave, this is just cruel. Poor like button. 😂

I know right! You can never truly understand the cruelty in his statement until you have lived without the glass plate! Your food gets bumped around every time the doodad turns. The food doesn't warm evenly.. If at all.. It's madness!! Mr. Ballen is (allegedly) really crossing the line when it comes to this like button torture!

@@ShannonDavis322 lol I agree. I actually appreciate my stalker too..as long as they're that young, they're adorable instead of terrifying 😆 your stalker turtle though is probably the best kind to have haha

@Juju Monkey not really as that was a starting point and most likely after they escaped the younger one at the very least still wanted to killed and if a look set em off like that then being out around people I'm pretty sure that crazy doesn't have an off switch till they are dead or almost dead. Just because his first set of victims were brainwashed doesn't mean we won't just go killing people who are not brainwashed.
