One thing you didn’t mention. Ladies Code had always wanted to have a number one song on the charts. So in their honor, Korean netizens from all fandoms joined together in an unusual unity, and shot the song “I’m Fine Thank You” to the top of the Korean real-time music charts. To this day I wish I could hug every last fan that did that.

literally. i became a fan before the accident and i wanted them to be huge, they had so much potential. nowadays, anything people ever discuss about them is the accident and like... yes it was a super traumatazing, sad event. their death could have been prevented. but they were so much more than that. i feel very similarly about jjong and shinee, also one of my favorite groups. very sad situations, but they deserve to be remembered as more than a tragedy.

Don't let someone find out about a death of a friend through the news, that's just cowardly and traumatizing. Someone who they trusted needed to step up and break the news to them, even if they were in the hospital. Keeping someone in the dark like that is just shameful.

I don't think it was withheld for a bad reason. I think the objective was to let their health get stronger, and THEN tell them. Unfortunately, they didn't count on the awareness and curiosity of the other member. They waited too long to tell her, and caused her to suffer even more. This was so fliggering sad and, even though I was unaware of the Group, I still feel miserable for the 3 who survived. Rest In Paradise, RiSe and EunB. 🥺

I became a Lavely in the early 2014. My bias is EunB and my wrecker is RiSe, as a minor back then, I love them so much and seeing them grow with their best title tracks is very comforting and fun. After that accident happened, it didn't sink in first, it's just so sad that these young and talented ladies lives were gone because of reckless driving. Still remembered their last performance, and seeing them leaving the stage makes me want to go back in time and tell them to not go yet. :(( They had so much potential back then, if the accident didn't happened, I'm sure they are one of the legendary 3rd gen groups. I still keep listening to them. Their discography is aging like a fine wine. Miss you girlies!

I thought It was news that EunBi was getting praised for something but I was wrong. I will never forget seeing the news. i got the chance to meet Ashley and Sojung in 2019. I always imagine what would happen if our two codes never have passed away. every single member has a unique and distinctive voice. And I miss our two codes. The burden of having a birthday the same day your best friend passed away, I can’t even imagine. i remember when “kiss kiss” came out, I wanted to dye my hair blonde like RiSe and then cut my hair and make my hair like EunB’s. They will forever be in my heart. Thank you for making a video on this topic 💜💜

Something about this tragedy hit me particularly hard when it happened... more than any celeb death for some reason. Maybe it's because they were still basically rookies or that I distinctly remember them doing street performances not long before all of this. Just so sad that they didn't get much time to follow their dreams before this, and the girls that survived never quite seemed the same despite trying to continue their career.

I watched a show called sing again which featured singers trying to get their second chance. Its amazing and I highly recommend watching it, so many stellar performances on it. Season 1 had Sojung as a contestant and my oh my what a stunning voice she has! She easily has some of the best female vocals I have ever heard out of the kpop industry. She made it all the way to the final! In the show, despite how much these awful memories still hurt, she made it a point about how she wants to be recognised for her voice again and not for this tragedy.

fyi - its not necessarily a bad thing that they left the other girls in the car after the accident. it is hard to determine if you should move someone after an accident or not because you can do more harm than good. its always a gamble. like they might have survived if they removed them but on the other hand they may have caused them to die right there or caused them an extreme amount/injury.

I never realized the girl from Dive Studios is from Lady's Code. The amount of car accidents with especially girl groups dying from 2010 onward just made me swear off kpop. The only BTS and BigHit got my attention because they did take care of the members, they mentored them, supported their creativity and independence, their safety was #1 priority. If it was not for BTS, I would be out of kpop all together. Seriously, a lot of idols got into senseless car accidents every weekend living in their vans and driving from one event to another. It was horrid.

This happened on my birthday, and I was in shambles when I heard about this. I was becoming a Code fan after Pretty Pretty and was looking forward to Kiss Kiss promotions. Still today watching this makes me cry.

How terrible that such young, talented lives were lost and the poor other three will have to live without their friends. They had so much more they were going to accomplish together but it was destroyed by negligence. You can see the regret and anguish on their faces. I hope they still find joy in their lives and keep talking to eachother.

Wasn't RiSe quite popular that time? Think I remember her on some variety shows..

if you watched the show carefully.. jyp transformed a korean word 비춰 (bi chwo) which means "to illuminate/shine" to the group name, to be easier to read, and since they are a global girl group it would be better to name them vcha rather than bichwo

At that time, I was so shocked by the news of the members demised. I thought that no kpop idol could die in a terrible way until that happens. I mourned for the loss, it was heartbreaking.

I wish Sojung can feel comfortably celebrating her bday now
